Day 6 of consuming beetroot ( any form ) every day ( or 5 times a week minimum ) to improve health of my heart, quality of my blood and fix my vitamin deficiency, so I can live a long life and donate blood in the future
Maybe I should've made Ilkay way older.... And have him grow from angry in highschool to indifferent and closed of in college to depressed after college before he got his shit together and became a hunter...
In some other timeline, he is, and it's much more impactful that he calls Xavier hyung because he's the only hyung he has at the start of the getting better journey

because it's the end of the year we were playing jeopardy in history (yes same teacher from before) and one of the questions (a riddle) was
"what is always coming but never arrives?"
I think you can guess my response.
I was talking with my friend about arospec expressions of love and their unconventionality even when they are defined by terms that are comparable to what is normally considered to be the "baseline" (allospec expressions of specifically romantic love) and, while I do think it varies from person to person, I was wondering how much of it is also influenced by culture and customs.
I'm a born and raised Italian lesbian woman (bit more complicated than that internally but for the purpose of this conversation I present and am perceived as such) on the aroace spectrum and I love hugging my friends. I kiss them on the cheeks, on the forehead, I caress their hair, I hold their hands and forearms when we walk, and I generally just enjoy being able to touch them. Although there are some specific gestures I would only reserve for romantic/sexual partners, this is my personal baseline. In Italy, it is rather common for women & fem presenting people of any sexuality to act like this with their friends. I've seen quite a number of men do it as well with their male friends without it being considered romantic in nature. But if I was to do this with a foreign friend without giving them this prior context, they might assume it is automatically flirtatious on my part to do so.
It has made me think about how this translates to storytelling and various depictions of love across cultures. I'll admit that I have sometimes struggled to see where some people came from when talking about behaviours between characters that to me seemed completely platonic acts of affection.
