her affection bar might be low, but carys's waters run deep and she feels. alistair is the one person who keeps her tethered to thedas and not totally lost to the title of Hero (and that's probably why her jealousy bar is pretty full lol)

conversely, alistair is very free with his affections for her, and i think partly it's because he knows that she just... can't ask for it, even though she wants it.

falling in love with definitely unintentional on both sides, but alistair embraced it right away. carys was much more... reluctant, we'll say 😂

the 'who is more...' section really shows off that carys is a person of extremes haha whatever she does, however she acts, it is to the nth degree. which gives alistair the appearance being flighty or laid-back, but really he's quite even-keeled, she just makes him look that way in comparison.

carys's 'most likely to get embarrassed' is so fun to me. she's very secure and confident, and knows that whenever she walks into the room, she's probably the baddest bitch in there. but take her out of her element and she is very aware of how specialized and niche her skills are. she knows that she's an acquired taste, and despite what she would like to think, she's only mortal and it can get to her.

and yes i am 100% a bisexual alistair truther, and carys probably knows it about him before he does LMAO

and i purposefully did not give him a last name because in my canon, he completely rejects the theirin legacy and makes a name for himself as a warden. if anything, he would take carys's surname
