Make your page links viewable on mobile
As RPers, it’s frustrating when people don’t read our rules, which is why it makes sense to make the page as accessible as possible. One thing that we can do is to make the page links viewable from the mobile browser. Lots of RPers search and interact with other blogs exclusively on mobile (or else they spend a lot of time on mobile). I personally do the latter, sending in ask memes and following on mobile, and then I write on desktop. Sometimes it’s easy to find the rules page because it’s linked, or the page url makes sense (e.g. ‘/rules’, ‘/r’, ‘/guidelines’, ‘/g’, etc)
But other times, I cannot find the page on my own at all. I have to jump through hoops in order to access it. I believe that rules should always be read regardless of how hard it is to find it, but it’s only beneficial for RPers to make the rules as easy to find as possible, including on mobile. There’s a couple ways that we can do this.
Method #1: Provide a ‘Navigation page’, which you link in your blog descriptions. Pretty easy. But even easier is...
Method #2: Make the links viewable in the browser, with the simple toggle of a switch. All your important pages viewable right at the top of the browser, with no additional effort from you!
