The marvelous Nicole at @spinvinylheaven convinced me to give this record a shot though I’d never heard of the artist… she knows what’s good for me. It’s a Jamaican pressing and looks like it was pressed in someone’s house. LP ain’t exactly hifi, but it adds to the roots reggae feel honestly 😂 Wonderful skanking music. The main US release has totally different packaging. Interestingly, the Jamaican jacket doesn’t credit the songwriters of the covers, even the extremely obvious cover of Culture Club’s Do You Really Want to Hurt Me. They all just say “ADAPTED.” I’m sure it has something to do with Jamaica’s more lax copyright laws. Maybe you can get away with not paying royalties but only if you leave the credits vague?
