Question about characters: do you have complete OC characters that aren't from a game? Or are they all from games? Do you roleplay them or write for them?
oh yeah, definitely! I rarely talk about them here just because... I dunno, most of my writing here is fandom stuff. :) I used to RP a shitton way back in grade school, mostly through Neopets, and I created so many characters, all of them fully fleshed-out with backstories and everything, it was kind of unreal.
I also have a smattering of purely original characters who donāt really belong anywhere in particular and just kind of exist. Some of them are tied to role-plays Iāve done and stories Iāve written or are writing, but either way they sometimes show up in my sketches or thoughts even when Iām not actively doing anything with them.
Faustine, a young French girl who runs away to to join the circus (I wrote a short story with her and have drawn some art as well).
Rhiamon, aĀ āshadow spinnerā who can manipulate and control darkness with her violin. Some art of her exists, mostly very very very old art. ;)
MAURA AND PIPPIN. How could I forget those two! Ā When she turns fourteen (tho the age keeps changing), Young Princess Maura is assigned a tiny sprite named Pippin as a companion. Though highly unimpressed with him at first, eventually the two become a comical, misadventuring, mischievous pair, complete with secret identities and sneaking out of the castle. I freakin love these two so much, I really hope to do something with them someday; theyāve been around forever.
Of course, thereās all my characters in my in-progress graphic novelsĀ āEverduskā (currently on hiatus) andĀ āThe Witch and the Starā (currently working on pages for that!).Ā
I also have a superhero character, Merrill OāBrien, whoās connected with nature spirits and cults and unhappily gained wind-based powers through said shenanigans that she didnāt want any part of.
A lot of those old Neopets OCs have turned into pretty much pure original characters now, too, like my Immortals storyline, which would take waayyyyyy too long to even attempt delving into right now, lol. My personal favorite is Raialyn, though, a mortal girl tied to Mother Earth who is slowly degenerating into the wild Earth itself because mortals canāt be tied to immortals forever and eventually waste away.
