Derrick: What makes me Chuckle? The unexpected... good or bad, it always makes me chuckle. @chefderrickfox . I am a touring drummer for hire turned chef! I knew young I wanted to live a life of art. Music took me a long way and then I discovered the art of food. Now I do both. To make a successful living pursuing your passion I feel is one of the most difficult achievements, I chuckle about it every day. I am currently a traveling Private Chef. I learned young being creative was a way to relieve stress and anger, then I learned how to be present in the moment of creating and that’s when it became a passion. The world disappears when you are not thinking of yesterday, or what tomorrow will bring, and just focus on your craft. My words of motivation: Shut up and listen! .... I got this advice once and didn’t understand it in that moment. I was in my early 20’s and naive, but it stuck with me.
