To be honest we’ve never really had a headspace because of two main reasons
1. Our aphantasia that we only recently realised might not be aphantasia but a fundamental misunderstanding of what it means to imagine something. We took seeing something too literally. Realised that if we apply the same logic of remembering an event or daydreaming during a mundane task we can actually do it. Still it is a very stiff muscle that we’re hoping to exercise by doing this
2. Being monoconcious and median makes things difficult
But as mentioned in point one, we’ve decided to try, even if the only time we can enter it is when meditating/falling asleep or when needing to dissociate from the external to go to a safe space
Locations:
#shore - the first actual place we conjured since syscovery. The dark void that used to be our mindscape still exists and was likely the first but we dont really count it since it doesnt involve much imagination. Actually came up with it when trying to fall asleep and the body’s breath sounded like waves crashing on a beach. Its very simple and a good starting point; an endless greyish sandy beach with an equally stretching into the horizon sea. Nemo’s domain mostly, but also Crow’s and Void’s in a way.
#aquarium - not actually an aquarium, calling it a zoo just feels wrong somehow. But it is. Its a way for Nemo to connect to their past life memories of being a domesticated otter. It is a large exhibit with a large pool to swim in, as well as some space to rest outside of water. We intend to eventually conjure up NPCs maybe to be the keepers, mostly because Nemo has dreamed up a dynamic where they buy them new pretty stones and throw them in the pool for them to retrieve and add to their collection since they like diving.
#bathroom - no, not a place to relieve ourselves, why would we add that function to our headspace 😭 no, its simply a transitional space between past kintype life and childhood. We might add to it in the future but for now it’s just a bathroom with a somewhat large bathtub. Mostly for any bathroom toys that might not be deemed safe for an exhibit pool. You enter this through the land space in the aquarium
#childsroom - possibly might evolve into a whole house but we’re starting small. You enter this through the bathroom. Largely a work in progress
#theforest - generally the vast forest that exists as mainly Beast’s and Crow’s domain. It is just. A forest. Especially with plenty of prey for Beast to hunt. Eventually there may be sub-sections here that involve something like dens or trinket collections(currently under #trinkethoard since we want to collect our trinkets but dont have a space for them yet)
#thefield - an opening in the forest that’s still and quiet. Its a resting place for Mold, where they can lay in the grass and slowly decompose into it as they stare into the night sky
#starrysky - the night sky that the field stares up into! Mostly a place of comfort for Void missing their hearthome/the space inbetween. Wont be tagged much. probably.
#wandering - the land between dreams and headspace. Mostly just weirdcore/dreamcore themed areas for Mold to float through in ghost form
