This was next on my stack to read. It is The Exile by Erik Kriek. I was on the fence on backing this Kickstarter but super glad I got it. It is a truly beautiful book. The art gave me a sense of the natural, cold-hearted beauty of Iceland, contrasted with with heat of battle and anger. It is one of the most human depictions of Viking culture I have read. The characters are fully realized and 3 dimensional. The protagonist has true regrets that he should be truly ashamed of. The art is simply beautiful.
