3️⃣0️⃣ // Celebrated by 30th birthday this weekend! 😀 Thanks so much for all the birthday wishes fam! 🙏🏻🙏🏻 - When I was a teenager, I used to think 30 was old... 😆 But now that I'm here, I don't feel that way at all! 🙂 I feel young, I think I'm in the best shape of my life (thanks to lockdown home workouts and tennis! 💪🏻), I've gained great life experiences and met so many amazing people along the way, and I'm still learning to be better every day! 🤓 I'm excited to see what the next decade of life brings! The Broad is a contemporary art museum built by philanthropists Eli and Edythe Broad on Grand Avenue in downtown Los Angeles. The museum, was designed by @diller_scofidio_renfro and opened to public in 2015. Dubbed “the veil and the vault,” the museum’s design merges the two key programs of the building: public exhibition space and the storage that will support The Broad Art Foundation’s extensive lending activities. The vault is enveloped by the “veil,” a porous, honeycomb-like, exterior structure that spans across the block-long building and provides filtered natural daylight. The museum’s “veil” lifts at the corners, welcoming visitors into an active lobby. A contemporary Art Museum in downtown Los Angeles, ‘The Broad’ houses an impressive collection including works from Andy Warhol, Barbara Kruger, Ellsworth Kelly, and Ed Ruscha among others. American entrepreneur and philanthropist Eli Broad (known as being the only individual to create 2 Fortune 500 companies in different industries) created the Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation and The Broad Art Foundation that manages the museum in 2010 and between both institutions have approximately $2.5 billion in assets.  In 2019, the museum displayed the 2013 installation by Yayoi Kusama: ‘Infinity Mirrored Room - The Souls of Millions of Light Years Away’ which is a series of lights in a mirrored room that seem to mimic the vastness of space interspersed with stars.
