VENUS IN VIRGO: IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS Venus is now in Virgo. Big gestures aren’t as impressive for this demure and detail oriented goddess. As dough has to prove before it’s baked, Venus in the sign of the wheat-maiden has a ‘proving’ process of her own. One of the most romantic stories I've ever heard is the one of my mum (Virgo Sun) and dad getting together. They were neighbours and friends for a very long time. Y'know, the whole girl/boy next door thing. Anyway my mum asked my dad to get her some Miss Selfridge body glitter (without specifying her preferred shade) when he told her he was popping to the shops. Later that day, he came back with the exact silver glitter she wanted. Pleased, she asked him how he knew which one to get. My dad explained that he asked the assistant for help, describing my mum as blonde and beautiful. The assistant gave her opinion and helped my dad to choose saying she thought the silver would go with her blonde hair. My mum told me "at that moment I looked at his blue eyes which seemed really vibrant because he was wearing a blue jumper and I wondered: how many other men would actually go to the trouble he did, just for me?". She said it was at that moment his hand extended offering her the gifts, wearing his blue blue jumper offsetting his twinkling blue eyes, that the penny dropped: she suddenly realised she wanted to be with him. He’d been there all along, living next door, walking her home from school, and when she got older walking her home from work, to nights out with their friends. I think of this story as Venus in Virgo story, taking care of the details for someone you love, noticing the little things you didn’t see before. I’m dying to hear your romantic stories!!!
