Trump also came under fire for not denouncing the nazis, and this fits with the fact that the eclipse happened on top his Ascendant, suggesting some sort of personal eclipse. He also lost a lot of people in his business council, and lost support from a number of Republicans. On the day of the eclipse, he also announced plans to escalate efforts in Afganistan, which corresponds with with the eclipse landing -not just on his Ascendant, but- on his natal Mars.
