Hello, my dear birdies. This is your friendly neighbourhood Mama Bird Artist back here on the workbench to talk to you about something serious that affects my community.

I would like to start off by saying that I get it. Life is expensive. You have bills, rent/mortgage, groceries and such, so that little bit of money you have saved for leisure is not much. With that said though, why not spend it on a comic, show, book or TV show you actually like? And yes, I am talking about supporting an independent creator. If you can spend $8.99 a month on a streaming service for an app which only has a few things you like, why not becoming an independent author's Patron/Ko-fi Member for at least $1 a month? And if you can't give your money, you can give support by sharing and spreading the word.

In fact, I think I figured out why Hollywood is not recruiting great artists and writers, and is instead gambling. It is because it can't find them. It can't find them because no one is talking about them or making them popular with support. No big company is going to invest in a comic, cartoon or book that nobody knows about and nobody is willing to support even if it is amazing. This is a case where popularity does matter. Popularity is how creators get scouted.

Comics, films and books can be great again, but only if we give great artists the push they rightfully deserve. Stop hate watching. Stop negative reviewing stuff you know you won't like. Stop giving your money away to purchase or invest something you don't like.

It's like I keep tell people, talk about the comics, book, films and TV shows I SHOULD be taking a look at! Direct me to the artists who are making amazing stuff! Who cares if it's independent? If it's good, I want to see it! And you should too! In fact, everyone should want and invest in what is amazing including the big companies! But they won't as long as you won't.

Let's change that. Let's help the artists who deserve to be seen get seen.

Hello, friends! Happy New Year, happy holidays and boy... am I partied out, but I am back to making art and I have a lot to say.

First off, next week, Psychoborg resumes and I will get back to drawing it out. Season 2 is going to be big with lots of surprises, developments and big reveals, so be ready. If you are not up to speed yet, follow the links below.

Secondly, after several trips to the drawing board, I decided to stop forcing a creative direction and go with the one coming naturally to me. Since I do adaptations, I decided to do a fanfic/fancomic about the Transformers! However, it is not another Transformers story. It draws inspiration from Beast Wars kind of by not having your average alt modes. I call it Transformers: Pretenders! The tag line goes as follows which tells you everything: "To become a hero, he must first become a man."

Thirdly, I am going to host another contest very, very soon which involves designing and creativity except this time, Astra is the mannequin lol. Details will come in February.

As for my health, I'm doing much better thanks to getting back to my fitness program and taking my much needed break. I have also come realize that hiatuses are not so bad though I still prefer not doing them.

Hello, birdies! Your mama bird webcomic author and artist is flying again! Psychoborg has resumed, I am writing a new story which will be a fanwork and I have 1,001 idea for art!

If you're curious about the fanwork, it is a Transformers fanfic that will become a comic in the future. I call it Transformers Pretenders. Pretenders are an actual thing in the lore. They are Transformers whose alt mode is the dominant intelligent species (people) of a planet. A lot of people played with the idea of "humanformers" for years, but no one dared to just actually go ahead and make it their alt mode. At least not since the Pretenders and I find it a shame because I find that such a thing makes the Transformers even more like superheroes. I mean, if we can have Transformers whose alt modes are animals (Beast Wars/Beast Machines), why not have "human" as an alt mode?

I also have to admit that it is not for small kids. I would rate it as M because there is a lot of violence, shocking imagery, body horror, death and implied adult activity. Also, I go by the side of the lore that paints Transformers as aliens not robots. Please read with an open mind because I think you'll have a lot of fun. I am not claiming anything either. Transformers belongs to Hasbro. I'm just having fun though it would be kind of cool if I got an offer for it.

In fact, I am even open to partnering with someone to convert the fanfic into a comic because drawing Transformers is very challenging for me.
