As happens when I watch House of the Dragon, I find myself missing Into the Badlands.
My Baron. The Widow, forever one of my favorite characters on TV ever.
Tilda, her regent.
The Widow’s butterflies.
The women of Into the Badlands.
THE GODDAMN CINEMATOGRAPHY IS GLORIOUS AND
GETS ZERO JUSTICE FROM MY CHOICES IN THIS POST
Just, trust me. The cinematography in this show is stunning.
The music used is incredible. One of the scenes with The Widow uses Zola Jesus’ “Night” and I almost lost my mind when it aired.
And I love the relationship between The Widow & Tilda and how it changed and evolves as Tilda gets older and as The Widow is forced to make tough choices.
The last season - the show was cancelled during its last season (bunch of horseshit to be cancelled) - is *not* the best. Many choices were made that angered me to no end.
Despite that, Into the Badlands is forever one of my favorite shows. House of the Dragon always makes me think of ITB.
