i've always been hesitant to talk about my comic scripts on here despite writing them being most of what i do anymore because i recognize that they are the least readerly medium. even less than film/tv scripts, which are at least meant to be read by many people following established formats with conventions advanced by successive generations of innovations and borrowing a lot from the very readerly theater script, comic scripts are essentially instruction manuals for the artist which the artistically precious writers of mainstream comic hubs hoard like industry dragons. this has given me a lot of room to experiment and learn (and as i actually start releasing comics with my collaborative partner i plan to go against this tide) but it also makes for a medium that might seem alien to most of the people who follow me.
that being said! here are some of my favorite pages i've scripted (note that different rows are different sequeneces):

i think one of my favorite little idiosyncrasies i developed doing this is keeping even–odd pairs on the same page and only putting the break after the odd page, which helps me keep in mind which actions flow into which and when the reader will have a big turn (and thus a different interval of time). i also started keeping a total page count to help the artist (in this case my friend) much like numbers before any text helps lettering economy

Rick was so upset that Morty doesn't see him as a hero that dude literally got drunker than we've ever seen him before, I hate him so much, he's so pathetic, he's the absolute worst, I love him so much.
