What is it about The The and more importantly why is what they had in the early 90s so special to me? First of all they were active and that always helps with making an impact. There was a Bowie connection the music sounded like Tin Machine and i had a deep connection to TM because of relationships to the Bowie fandom world. But the deeper Bowie connection via both Station to Station and Honky Dory. This is a personal connection but if you listen to Mind Bomb I believe you’ll hear the connections. Sexuality is a big part of my attraction both in lyrics and music. I could not stop listening to Mind Bomb and i would use it as a tool for selecting the direction for an evening out with women. It was beautiful.
