Belladonna squints her eyes at the human-.. ish.. Her eyes weren't the best, but she was almost certain this one looked different than the last time she saw him.

Now for thoughts

The skin tone used here for scribe Lowkey is what I always intended it to be, but when I originally made scribe and Apostle as my very first kom ocs I was trying to make my ocs for the theme and art style choices of the game, as such I was confused on how far I could go into their blackness seeing as all the puppets I had seen in game or otherwise seemed to share that pasty ceramic color if not an off tan ceramic

I'm honestly not super proud of their refs either because I was so hyper focused on trying to match the EXACT art style as closely as I could I left a lot of my personal ways out and I feel you can tell when you look at my later drawn kom ocs like constable where I'm comfortable with it being in my own art style

I'm not sure if I will draw them like that exactly considering some tones are definitely more skin tones then th color of wood and I feel bothered by the idea of it not being similar to some kind of material?? This feels more like for a human aligned au

I wanted each puppet to have its own material to represent where or when or the status of the building if that makes sense I just was worried they needed to be idk same color or so as jestyn and everyone

Suppose I was worried about them not looking canon enough sighs ew

But it's alright their puppet shells are false bodies anywway their real bodies are underneath the shadow layer so hmm

As well as his eyes they were a reference to that saying about "eyes being windows to the soul" and I wanted it to look like his eyes are hidden behind that window pane like stained glass, but the window frame takes on a golden hue later and adds to the extra ring as well to represent the angel in a haven sent timeline

It's a shitty recolor I did for personal reference but these would be the twins actual colors if I draw them skin toned rather than porcelain

Gravelyn was naturally very easy but what sadly ticked me off has NOTHING to do with her design and all on tomodachi's color editing </3 When you try to ah, color with more darker shades like very dark grey and black, your lineart will have like strange colored outlines so you can faintly see some greens on Gravelyn's dress and that's why </3

if you squint hard enough you can see it happening to other miis with darker hair too!!

Scribe was still an easy walk in the park anyway ^O^ just had to be specific with the linework and coloring with the yellow, but I think it ended great!!! UGHH it pleases me so much to give the miis character accurate clothes, it feels so much more real to see them on my island

an extra until our next chapter since I found this funny GIGGLES they're 'good friends' now and it was Ilian that wanted to be friends
