So happy that you open the inbox for questions on Nova and Fawn! So here's my question: how do Nova and Fawn meet? Was it on a particular occasion? Was it at the Academy? Or were they friends before?

They definitely met pretty early on at the Academy, but I feel like they were both aware of the other for a bit before actually becoming friends. Kind of in opposite ways though, Nova had a big reputation/set of expectations and then just sort of laid low, while the Fawn had absolutely no reputation and gained attention very quickly with their antics.

I made a little comic a while back that sums up how they actually became friends though:

For Nova it's a bit more straightforward: whatever can drown out the drums in his head. Loud music, consistent chatter from the Fawn, wind in his ears as he runs, whatever lets him forget about the drumming for just a moment.

Meanwhile for the Fawn I had to think a bit more, but I think their favorite sound would be the sound of rain hitting leaves in the trees. They don't hear it often in the drylands, and in the dome where the academy is built it's easy to forget what rain sounds like altogether after a while. But whenever they get the chance... It's peaceful, almost melancholy, and they enjoy it very much.
