If so, I think of Victor Hugo and the Italy scene where he's towed. Mater points out the fact that he's perfectly fine. I think it's another case of the lemonheads faking the incompetence, bc they can definitely afford to be fixed.

I think it's the lower-level lemons that can't afford parts. I sincerely doubt they are paid the same as the lemonheads, so they likely cannot afford replacement parts.

The lemons likely met each other when Miles/Professor Z recruited them to the oil derricks.

I imagine they were recruited due to being jobless. Being a lemon is probably like being told 'no shoes, no shirt, no service' ya know? I bet when they were offered something to do, they jumped on the opportunity.

In the same way, despite coming from rough places, I think they all became fast friends. Even when they were committing crime together, I imagine they became thick as thieves (literally). Even after the whole Allinol thing came to perish, I'd like to think they remain close.

Am I the only one who actually did kind of comprehend the Lemons' plan? Yes, it is a little convoluted/confusing at points and something I have to stop and think about--but I also kind of get it? I'm eager to hear your thoughts on the matter (and of course share mine in the reblogs). I've seen a lot of people complain that's confusing or even stupid--but I just don't fully buy that.

Wait, you've seen people complain about the Lemons thing or people complain about our analyzing? Bc if it's the second thing, I have something to say to the supposed haters: you're not obligated to stay. We're here analyzing for funsies. If you don't like our ramblings, you can just scroll right on by. Ok?

ANYWAY--

When Cars 2 came out, I was in 2nd grade at the ripe age of 8 years old lol, so the whole story behind everything didn't make a whole lot of sense to me at the time; I just liked Cars, so I went along with it, confused or not. XD

But now that I'm older and understand everything that went on in the Lemons' scheme, I suppose it was somewhat predictable. Of course, I didn't suspect Miles would be the bad guy as a naïve little elementary schooler, but now that I've watched this movie 50+ times, I can see it coming from a longshot.

The Lemons plan is a bit weird all things considered. Lots of things would need to go perfectly in order for them to become big oil dealers; clearly, that backfired. I get that they are the supposed owners of the biggest oil reserve in the world, but so what? There are other oil derricks and producers in the world; why would they be so much greater than the other tycoons?
