In this AU, the chip Old Moon was in was reactivated. They both ended up being two AIβs in a body. Which causes Old Moon to immediately make himself a new body. (Cuz trauma response LAWLLLL) <- Also a big factor on why hes so shitty to New moon//
During this time, New Moon is basically ridiculed by Old Moon while they shared a body (because hes a fucking bitch). New Moon was not having it and rants to Solar about it.
After splitting, New Moon notices how the family is leaning towards Old Moon. He doesnβt understand why, he was the better one. No? The only one there for him was Solar.
But Old Moon basically ends up bringing Solar with him more often because,,, smart people, he wants to hang w smarter people. He starts including Solar in βfamilyβ activities while he basically throws New Moon away like an afterthought. Basically like a βhey thanks for taking care of my family bye now. Youβre irrelevant.β
This fucking pisses New Moon off cuz one, Old moon was the one guy he hated and it only just reminds him that heβs the replacement for someone who doesnβt even deserve a second chance at life. And two, Solar was the only one who believed in him but seeing Solar being called family while he was being basically pushed away got him to a point where he joins the Creator Council.
Heβs angry, heβs hurt. And instead of Dark Sun in canon, heβs manipulated by The Creator Council to take revenge on the Celestial Family. More importantly, Solar. Who left him and betrayed him the most from being his once most trusted friend. They give him access and use him as a test subject for new concepts of power without actually getting into it themselves.
As followed, Dark Star Power. Nexus soon learns hes able to control things with DSP.
But the Creator Council turns off his pain receptors, he has no idea that the DSP is deteriorating his body. Heβs manipulated into thinking that the more that the corruption spreads, heβs stronger. So he doesnβt know hes dying.
