So, The Completionist is back. Watched his explanation video, and honestly, his side of the story is more or less what I figured. They never stole the money, it was always there, it was waiting to be donated in a way that they could track what it was used for. He fucked up, bad, by keeping that fact to himself during the last donation marathon instead of being up front about it.
And from there Mutahar and Jobst, who basically had no idea what they were talking about, managed to fuck over his entire life for it and their view counts.
Like, don't get me wrong, it's clear The Completionist fucked up by keeping the fact they were having trouble getting the donations guaranteed to go to families in need and not administrative costs to himself. Like, that was a massive fuckup. But Jesus tapdancing Christ did he ever over pay for that fuck up thanks to the shit takes and false 'journalism' of our armchair defamers known as Mutahar and Jobst. Which, by the way, their dramatizing the whole thing apparently made donating the money harder cause, surprise surprise, charities don't like to be involved in scandals.
I can't enjoy the downfall of The Completionist with the rest of you because I never watched whatever that was and don't really know who he is.

Aw man, just found out one of my old favorite YouTubers - Jirard aka The Completionist - was involved in some kind of charity scandal:/ I did a very quick, lazy google search and couldn't find an actual aritcle about it, just a bunch of reddit posts, but apparently it's been a whole big kerfuffle for a while now and his reputation is pretty fucked://// and now it's REALLY fucked cuz one of those big drama channels just posted a 90 min video about it (im not gonna watch it cuz it's just gonna make me sad)
It's not even that I have some intense attachment to the guy or anything, his was just one of the few gaming channels that wasn't particularly funny, but it also never got flak for being offensive. Like sure, that's not such a tall order nowadays, but I'm talking like.. early 2010s.. where pretty much everyone was throwing around slurs n shit for the lols. His channel always felt kinda wholesome and down to earth idk. Also he completes every single game he talks about, like 100% completes it, and that's frankly a batshit amount of dedication. The most infuriating downfall ever. Also filled with lies of patients of Dementia only lasting 6 months. My mom had convulsions with the Dementia type Alzheimer and died on 6 years. There's people who lives 20 years with it.
