Sun Myung Moon ignored his own Principles
Sun Myung Moon permitted assigning men with no faith history, who only sought marriage, to devout female believers.
(From the 30,000 couples onward, it became possible to receive the Blessing after listening to lectures for just one week, and large numbers of Korean men with no faith and no ability to sustain a livelihood, whose only aim was marriage, were made to participate in mass weddings.
Following these instructions, churches in Korea later began to display signs reading “International Marriage Consultation Office (Marriage Brokerage Office).” Among those who received the Korea-Japan Blessing, there were couples who divorced or broke apart, but for believers who desired re-blessing, church leaders acted as matchmakers (matching supporters) and formed couples in an arranged meeting format. The “marriage brokerage business = Proposal for Blessing (matchmaking parties)” currently conducted in Japan can be considered a developed, organized form of the marriage introduction offices that existed in Korea.)
And it was also Sun Myung Moon who broke the principle of matching Blessings and allowed love marriages.
Feeling pity for his son (Kook-jin), who was suffering in a marriage decided through matching, in 2004 he exceptionally permitted a love marriage, even though it may have been an adulterous situation, re-blessed him, and forcibly made the first wife divorce. If he would bend principles out of sympathy, then wouldn’t it have been better if God had allowed Eve’s love from the beginning? This is the contradiction.
In fact, Sun Myung Moon also carried out matchings between first-generation members and second-generation blessed members.
Furthermore, even children born after a Blessing in already married couples (who married through love) are treated as second-generation blessed children (children of God without original sin).
Bo Hi Pak of the 36 Couples is also from an existing marriage, but his children after the Blessing were treated as “second-generation blessed” and were blessed together with the children of the True Family (the Moon family)
Even if one marries through love, as long as one receives the Blessing, there is no problem regarding the children.
In the past, matched families were valued as “original families,” but now re-blessings have increased, and the distinction between original families and existing families has become unclear.
(In the past, Sun Myung Moon threatened that the spiritual world destination of original families and existing families would differ, but it seems this had no effect on Koreans.)
Originally in Korea, even among the first generation, there were many believers who thought that even if one married through love, it was fine as long as one received the Blessing.
For Koreans, principles can be changed or interpreted in whatever way suits them, and Sun Myung Moon, who knew the Korean character well, was lenient about this.
In conclusion, in the Unification Church, which is a Korean religion, principles are as good as nonexistent.
Exceptions and excuses are taken for granted. While love is prohibited for ordinary believers, privileged leaders have long been granted exceptions.
“Abstinence” and “sin” generate money.
The more abstinence is enforced and the more people are reduced to sinners, the more it can be disguised as a noble religion, and when violations occur, penalties (donations) can be demanded as punishment.
Sun Myung Moon noticed this.
Because Japan is the "fallen Eve nation", pay donations; because Japanese people are deeply sinful, pay donations… and so on.
However, this does not work on anyone other than Japanese people…
