That's a wrap! Lucy and Desi had much to celebrate at this wrap party held at the end of the first season of 'I Love Lucy'. They had just made television history by becoming the first show to be seen in over 10,000,000 homes (an estimated 30,000,000 viewers)—even surpassing the viewership of "Mr. Television" himself, Milton Berle. All of that hard work came with a fair amount of stress. It was at the end of this season that Lucy was told by her doctor that she was nearing exhaustion and needed to take a break before resuming work on the second season. "I got so nervous and keyed up I went to a psychiatrist, but she only saw me for three weeks. Then she told me there was nothing psychologically wrong with me, I was just wore out from having a baby and a television show at the same time."—Lucy as quoted in the book, 'Desilu, The Story of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz'. #lucilleball #desiarnaz #jessoppenheimer #thatsawrap #wrapparty #miltonberle #psychiatrist #exhaustion #anniversary #71stanniversary #ilovelucy #waynelvslcy https://www.instagram.com/p/CjiglreL2Jq/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
