โHave you guys heard from Markus?โ Y/n asked Donna over the phone from her hotel room. She had called Donna to check in on her since Eric left. She was on day three of being in New York and couldnโt stop thinking of her friends.
โNot since he left Chicago,โ Donna responded. โHe called to let us know that heโd be gone awhile, but didnโt say where he was going. Jackie really affected him.โ
โWell, yeah, wouldnโt it affect you?โ One of the babies started to fuss in that moment. Y/n turned to Hyde and motioned for him to check on them.
โI mean, yeah,โ Donna answered truthfully. โWhen Eric left me at the altar, all I wanted was to pack up and leave for a while.โ
โYeah, but instead it was Eric who skipped town,โ Y/n pointed out.
โAnd yet, he thought he was the humiliated one,โ she laughed.
โSo, what happened after he ripped the towel off Kelso?โ
Hyde whipped his head in her direction, confused and bewildered to hear such a sentence. Y/n gave him a lookโa look that said, โIโll tell you later.โ
โHe chased Kelso for, like, twelve blocks and finally faltered back after Kelso circled back to the motel and ran into the room and locked the door,โ Donna continued. โApparently, it didnโt end there and Markus continued to shout through the door, demanding to be let in and kick Kelsoโs ass. Jackie was trying to calm him down, but he was just getting more irate. Eventually, the cops were called and Markus was asked to leave otherwise he was going to be arrested.โ
โDude, thatโs crazy,โ Y/n commented.
โI know! After that, I guess he ran home, packed a bag and justโฆtook off. We havenโt heard from him since.โ
โMan, I hope heโs okay.โ
โWell, I donโt know about everyone else, but me and Fez got postcards in the mail. And by the looks of it, it looks like he stopped in Vegas.โ
โVegas? Huh,โ Y/n huffed. โMaybe heโll come back a changed man.โ
โThatโs usually not the reason people go to Vegas after a bad breakup,โ Donna chuckled. โOh! And did you hear that a new guy moved to town?โ
โA new guy? Who?โ
โI donโt know a lot about him, but his name is Randy and he just started at the record store to help Leo. Apparently, heโs been bringing a lot of businessโ
โWait, what?โ Y/n turned to her husband who was changing a diaper. โSteven, did you hire someone before we left?โ
โNo? Why?โ
โSome guy named Randy is helping Leo. Do you know anything about this?โ
โWhat?!โ Hyde replied roughly and gestured for Y/n to give him the phone as he walked over. โHey, Donna. What do you mean some guy is working at the store? Whereโs Leo?โ
โIโm not sure half the time honestly. When he is there, heโs usually locked up in your office. This Randy guy has been running the store on Leoโs behalf. Now that I think about it, Iโve seen this guy more than Iโve seen Leo.โ
โWhat about Mandy? Isnโt she there?โ
โOh, yeah about herโฆโ
โWhat? What about her?โ Hyde asked nervously.
โShe quit.โ
โShe quโwhy?!โ
โMandy quit?!โ Y/n asked, barley containing her glee.
He gave her look. โYou donโt gotta be so happy about it.โ
โApparently, she didnโt like Randy coming in and pretty much being promoted to manager and changing everything.โ
โManager?!โ Steven almost screeched. โPretty sure this isnโt legal.โ
โLegal? Since when do you care?โ Y/n poked.
โYouโre right,โ he agreed. โIโve clearly been with you too long. Youโre rubbing off on meโฆI want a divorce.โ
She grinned widely at him. โSorry, โtil death do us part, baby. And death will part us.โ
The way Hyde stared at her, he couldnโt tell if he was scared, impressed, or turned on. Or all three.
โUh, anyway, um,โ he stuttered and cleared his throat. โW-what changes have been made?โ
โWell, when I walked in there last night, he pretty much rearranged the whole store,โ Donna answered, having chosen to ignore her friendsโ flirting.
โHe did WHAT?!โ Steven yelled, forgetting his conversation with his wife. โWho gave him the rightโLeo,โ he growled. โWhat else?โ
โOh, he alphabetized all the records. You know how you had it sorted by band and genre?โ
โNo?โ
โOkay, well you remember how Angie had it sorted by band and genre? Now, he has the whole store alphabetized.โ
โWhat the hell?! Iโm going to kick his ass.โ
โYou didnโt even know it was organized that way until I told you,โ Donna laughed. โWhy are you angry about it now?โ
โBecause heโs still messing with my store!โ He turned to Y/n. โWeโre going to have to cut the trip short.โ
โBut I still have to go down to campus and sign up for classes!โ
โWe gotta leave afterwards. Thisโthis Randy guy is messing with my store and his self proclaimed manager position.โ
Her shoulders slumped. โNo sightseeing or romantic dinner?โ
โWe can do that when we move here in a couple months. But I need to sort things out first.โ
Y/n nodded before she walked into the bathroom to finish getting ready.
Hyde turned back to the phone. โIs there anything else?โ
โNo, no thatโs it. But, I do have a question for youโฆwhat are you going to do with the store once you do move?โ
He froze. โIโฆI didnโt really think that far.โ
โMaybe this Randy guy can help.โ
โDonna, weโre going to be here for four years at least. God knows whatโs going to happen after she graduates. Whether we stay or not, Iโm not sure if sheโs ever going to want to come back to Point Place. So, Iโm not sure if this Randy can help us if we shut down.โ
โAre you considering closing the record store?โ
โCall it relocating if you will.โ
โWowโฆso you guys really are moving out of Point Place foreverโฆโ
The silence following the end of the sentence made Hydeโs ears perk up. โDonna? You alright, man?โ
โYeah, itโs justโฆโ Donna chuckled sadly and sighed. โEverything is changing and everyone is leaving. I mean, Ericโs gone, Kelso is leaving, you and Y/n are leaving soon, Markus is MIAโฆI canโt believe Iโm going to say this, but Iโm going to miss Jackie too. Iโll even miss Fez and his creepiness.โ
โOh, man, itโll be okay.โ
โI know, but everyone Iโve known my whole life is leaving. And here I am, staying here.โ
โUhโฆthis sounds like a conversation for Y/nโโ
โI mean, I stayed here for Eric and then he goes and leaves!โ
Hyde pulled away from the phone. โY/n!โ
โAnd to think all that Iโve given himโโ
โY/n!โ
โWhat?!โ she asked irritated, coming out of the bathroom with her hair in rollers and only one eye that had mascara on.
Hyde waved her over as he continued to listen to Donna rant. โUh-huh,โ he said absentmindedly before grabbing his wife by the shoulders and replacing her in his place.
Confused, she grabbed the phone from him and put to her ear to catch Donna mid-rant.
โYou know the other day, he was supposed to call me, but he called his mom instead!โ she yelled. โThat twiggy little punk-assโโ
โSteven!โ Y/n whispered-yelled.
He chuckled. โSucker!โ
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย --The Next Day--
โMrs. Forman, what a wonderful idea to send a tape to Eric!โ Donna beamed as Kitty got the tape recorder ready. Her, Fez, Kelso, and Kitty sat at the kitchen table in the Forman kitchen.
โOh, please Iโm full of wonderful ideas,โ she said proudly. โOne time, when Eric was at a summer camp, I sent him a card with a big picture of my face on it that said, โMommy loves youโ. Well, it made him miss me so much the next day he called and begged me to come home!โ
โAh, yes. The summer of a thousand wedgies,โ Donna recalled.
โOh, Eric is going to be so excited to hear so many familiar voices,โ Kitty gushed.
โOh! I can do Porky Pig,โ Fez said and grabbed the microphone and hit record. โHababadahababada, thatโs all people!โ
Kitty yanked the microphone from Fez with a scowl. โOkay, then, letโs start the tape.โ She rewound the tape before pressing record. โHi, Eric. Itโs your mother. Iโm here with Donna and Fez.โ
Donna took the microphone from Kittyโs outstretched hand. โHi, honey!โ she said cheerfully as she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. โThank you for the postcards about monkeys. Iโm still bananas about you, too!โ
She handed the microphone back to Kitty. โOkay, letโs see. Where to startโฆwell, your father and I were very furious when we found you smoking in the basement. The minute you left the airport, your father and I did what the Fedsโ call a โsweepโโฆโ
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย --Flashbackโ
โHow dare you boys smoke in my basement!โ Kitty exclaimed as she was frantically searching the couch cushions. โWhen you know how hard I work to keep it smelling lemony-fresh!โ
โYou morons just hung vacancies on your asses and my foot is looking for a room!โ Red barked.
โHere it is!โ both Red and Kitty said at the same time as they both held up two baggies.
โTWO bags?!โ Red shouted.
โIโve never seen those before in my life!โ Hyde said defensively. โYour son has a real problem!โ
โKitty, I want you to take this garbage and flush it down the toilet!โ
โIโm just glad we caught you boys before this became an everyday thing!โ Kitty cried out, feeling betrayed.
Red turned to Fez and Hyde. โIs that all of it?โ
โYes, sir. Thatโs all of it,โ Hyde said.
โGood. Out of everyone of your dumbass friends, I expected more from you, Steven. You canโt be doing this around your children. You need to live by example and not bring this crap in their lives. Youโre not your mother and you sure as hell arenโt Bud. So, act like it!โ
Hyde was silent for a moment. โI understand, Red.โ
โGood. Now, youโre sure thereโs nothing else here?โ
โYes, now thereโs nothing else for us to do but smoke Candyland,โ Fez chirped before it dawned on him. โI mean, play Candysmoke, I meanโโ
Before Red let him continue his fumbling, he whipped out the boardgame and flipped open the lid to reveal another baggie.
โAi, no!โ
โAnd so I flushed it all down the toilet and taught everyone a lesson,โ Kitty continued with the story.
โWhy donโt you tell Eric was else happened?โ Donna asked, giggling.
โOh, oh! Let me! Give me that,โ Fez said, giddy and took the microphone. โIโll tell him.โ
โKitty! I found another one!โ Red called out as he entered his way to his bedroom, finding Kitty in the bathroom with the door closed and smoke drifting from underneath. He knocked on the door. โKitty?โ
The bathroom door swung on, revealing a disoriented looking Kitty and a cloud of smoke behind her.
โWhat the hell?!โ Red exclaimed. โWhat do you have to say for yourself?!โ
She looked at him with red, glazed eyes. โIโm STARVING,โ she responded and cackled.
โI still canโt believe Red caught you with the guysโ stash,โ Donna laughed.
โSomeoneโs getting a tie-dyed apron for her birthday!โ Fez chimed in, a wide smile on his face.
โNo, I justโฆโ Kitty defended herself. โI just wanted to see what all the hubbub was about. I mean I was skeptical about tubber ware and that was life changing!โ
She turned back to the recorder. โAnyway, Eric, I suffered the consequences and your father gave me a very stern talking to.โ
โKitty, when we took our vows, we said weโd be together through sickness and in health!โ Red said, him and Steven standing in front of Kitty in the kitchen with her sitting in a chair. Just like the boys had done not long before. โBut nobody said anything about what to do if your wife turns into a dope fiend!โ He was getting madder by the word and was practically spitting. โYouโre a nurse for Godโs sake! You know this stuff is bad news! Bad news isnโt the half of it!โ
โHere are the facts: when the smoke hits the brain, the cells start dying. This process causes impaired judgement and hallucinations and a lot of other wonderful things!โ Hyde said.
โIs it Eric going away? Is that why youโre using this stuff?!โ Red interrogated.
As he was talking, Kitty was looking at the walls changing shapes and colors.
โKitty, if you were feeling blue, you didnโt have to turn to drugs!โ he continued. โI wouldโve made you a martini!โ
At this point, Kitty was laughing loudly, watching their heads grow bigger like a balloon.
โWhatโs so damn funny?!โ he roared. ย
โIs it the big head thing?โ Hyde asked, chuckling.
โI hardly felt a thing,โ Kitty stated.
โYou ate a whole box of uncooked spaghetti,โ Donna pointed out.
โI needed something crunchy,โ Kitty responded matter-of-factly.
Donna took the microphone from Kitty. โAnyway, Eric, the day you left, Markus went to go see Jackie in Chicago. When he got there, he walked in on Jackie and Kelso about toโฆget busy.โ
โHave sex,โ Kitty corrected.
โDooooooo iiiiittttttt,โ Fez joked.
โAnyway, Kelso told us everything that happened when he got back,โ Donna said.
โNo, hardly anything happened, okay?โ Kelso defended, grabbing a popsicle from the freezer in the basement. โJackie asked me to stay โcause she was lonely. And the next thing I know, Iโm naked. And then Markus shows up and kicks me out the door! And so I had drive all the way back in this dress that I found. All the truckers were flashing their lights and honking their horns at me.โ
โThat was pretty great,โ Fez giggled.
โMan, Markus is going to kick your ass,โ Donna said seriously.
โI know, and thatโs why I gotta get out of here before someone kicks the crap out of me.โ
He toward the basement door just as Jackie walked through. The second her eyes landed on Kelso, she started throwing her fists and legs wherever it would land. โYOU JERK!โ
โOw! Ow! Watch the face!โ
โJackie, arenโt you supposed to be in Chicago?โ Donna asked.
โYeah, well I was, but Iโm here to get Markus back. Where is he?โ
โHeโs not here,โ Kelso responded.
โYeah, he left after you two were about to DOOOOOO ITTTTTT!โ Fez sang-song.
โOh, my God this is horrible,โ Jackie whined and sunk into a chair at the table. โMy life is ruined. I quit my job, I lost my boyfriend. My whole life is ruined.โ
โIโm really sorry, Jackie,โ Donna said.
โLook, Jackie Iโm really sorry about what happened. I never meant to come between you and Markus,โ Kelso said sincerely and sat next to her on the couch. โLet me ask you one question, thoughโฆare we back together or not?โ
Jackie gave him a soured look. โOh, you are just as dumb as ever!โ
โOkay, you can insult me all you want, but answer the question.โ
โNO!โ
โNo, you wonโt answer the question? Why not?!โ
โBecause weโre not together!โ
โTHATโS the reason why you wonโt answer the question?!โ
โNO!โ she yelled as she elongated the word.
โTHEN WHATโS THE REASON?!โ Kelso shouted back.
โAnd then went on aboutโฆhalf an hour,โ Donna concluded the story.
The sliding door opened, revealing Bob. โHey Kitty, I need to borrow any oil or butter. Anything greasy, really.โ
โWhy?โ Kitty asked. โAre you cooking?โ
โNope. Tanning,โ Bob said, grinning. โHey, whatโs up with the tape recorder?โ
โOh, Iโm sending a tape to Eric in Africa. Want to say hi?โ
โSure!โ
โDonโt! Give him the microphone,โ Donna sighed, holding her head in her hand.
โWhatโs new pussycat. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!โ Bob sang.
โHey, Donna, boo-boo,โ Fez said, blowing her a kiss.
โDad, canโt you say nothing normal?โ Donna begged.
โNormal doesnโt put peopleโs asses in the seats, Donna,โ he said.
โWhat seats are you talking about?!โ Donna exclaimed.
โHey, Red! Say something to Eric!โ Kitty said, holding out the microphone as he walked through the door.
โSure,โ he responded and took the microphone. โSon, I was in the garage the other day and saw your old baseball mitt. And it made me think, โWhat a waste of money.โโ
โRed!โ Kitty exclaimed and quickly shut off the recorder. He pranced out the kitchen with a smirk. Kitty adjusted herself in her seat before pressing record again. โEric, your leaving was very hard on your father.โ
Kitty was standing in front of the washer and dryer, folding some freshly-cleaned towels. Red, in his excitement and giddiness, twirled down the stairs with a big smile on his face.
โI feel likeโฆdancing!โ he said and grabbed Kitty by the hand, causing her to throw the towel in a random direction, and twirled her into his arms. Dipping her to the floor, he quickly brought her back up and picked up one of Ericโs Millenium Falcon and twirled and danced his way to the door before throwing it outside.
โBy the way, we donated some of your toys to the church!
Kitty held the microphone to Fez who was tapping a deck of cards on a bottle of soy sauce while sitting in the living room. Donna sat besides Fez, bored out of her mind.
โGive up, Eric?โ Kitty asked. โThatโs the sound of a deck of cards hitting a bottle of soy sauce.โ
Donna reached over and grabbed the microphone. โEric, please come home. You have no idea how much I miss you.โ
โOh, honey, I miss you, too,โ Kitty said, sadly. โI donโt think Iโll ever be happy until I see you again.โ
โWeโre home!โ Y/n called through the door as she and Steven stumbled inside, each holding a baby carrier.
โSTEVEN! Y/N! YOUโRE HOME!โ Kitty screeched and threw down the recorder and ran over to them. She threw her arms around them, disregarding them holding the bags and babies.
โGood to see you, too, Mom,โ Y/n greeted and started to fall against her motherโs hold. โMom? Iโm falling.โ Kitty didnโt budge. โMom, Iโm falling!โ
โSorry,โ Kitty said and brought Steven in for hug.
โYou guys werenโt supposed to be home until Monday. What happened?โ Fez asked.
โWe got a call from Donna saying that someone is messing with my store. I need to go sort some things out,โ Hyde responded, putting down Kat on the piano bench.
โOh, yeah, I was down there the other day. The store was closed in the middle of the day,โ Donna said.
โAlright, I gotta go down there. Now,โ he responded and shrugged his bag off his shoulder. โY/n, are you going to be okay with the babies?โ
โYes, of course, go. Let me know what happens.โ
โThank you, youโre the best,โ he responded and kissed her cheek. โIโll be back.โ
Just as he walked over to the door, he swung it up seeing Markus already standing there.
โOhโฆhey,โ Hyde said and stepped to the side to let Markus in.
โHey, man,โ he greeted as he entered the house.
โMarkus, where the hell have you been?!โ Donna asked.
โOh, honey, Iโm glad youโre safe!โ Kitty fussed and gave him a tight hug.
โMiss Kitty, he doesnโt like hugs,โ Fez informed and pulled her away before slamming his body against Markusโs and pulling him into a hug.
โYeah, I missed you too, buddy,โ Markus said, chuckling. โI thought Iโd stop by here first before going home. Just wanted to let you know that Iโm back.โ
โI spilled my soda and myโMark!โ Kelso screeched. โIโI donโt know what to say.โ
โHow โbout โowโ?โ
โWhy would I sayโ?โ
Before Kelso could finish the question, Markus suckered punched him square in the jaw. He fell to the floor in a thud, groaning before it turned into laughter.
โOh, I get it!โ he giggled.
โEric, Markus just hit Michael,โ Kitty whispered into the microphone. โAnd while I am very disappointed in Markus for hitting Michael, it was very exciting.โ
โCome on, man, get up,โ Markus demanded and helped Kelso off the floor.
โWhy? So, you can deck me again?โ
โNo, Iโm good now,โ he responded. โEverything I wanted to say was in that one punch.โ
โNot gonna lieโฆI peed myself a little on the way down,โ Kelso announced.
โEw, Kelso,โ Y/n said.
โWell, Iโm going to go home and change,โ Markus announced and turned around to the kitchen, but was stopped when Jackie entered.
โMarkus?โ she asked. No one had heard come into the living room. โWhere have you been?โ
โUhโฆIโve been hanging out in Las Vegas,โ he responded.
โWell, we need to talk.โ
โAbout what? How you nailed Kelso?!โ
โNo, about our relationship!โ
โOkay, Iโll startโฆyou nailed Kelso!โ
โYou never gave me a chance to explain!โ she cried out.
โBECAUSE YOU NAILED KELSO!โ
โMom, start taping. Eric loves it when he yells at her,โ Y/n whispered.
Kitty held up the microphone a little closer to them.
โMarkus, I never even slept with Michael,โ Jackie pleaded.
โYeah, right because Kelso is always showing up at my hotel room naked with a bucket of ice,โ he spat.
โYou know this is your fault, too!โ Jackie said, raising her voice.
โYou two stop yelling,โ Kitty cut in before taking the tape out, turning it over, waiting a few seconds and then held up the microphone between them. โGo ahead.โ
โYou know what? Forget it,โ Markus said curtly and stomped out the house.
โWell, I guess thatโs that,โ Jackie said, her voice breaking and walked back into the kitchen.
โWow, that wasโฆhorrible,โ Y/n said.
โI know,โ Hyde said and cackled. โIt was great.โ
Y/n smacked him in his arm. โSteven!
When Hyde and Kelso arrived at the record store, they found it locked.
โWhy is the store still locked in the middle of the day?โ Steven questioned and used his key to unlock the door.
He wasnโt sure what to expect when he walked in, but it definitely wasnโt what was laid out in front of him. Inside, a circle of people sat on the floor with smoke bellowing around them. All of the people were either laying down or swaying to the weird psychedelic music the was playing in the shop. The lights were turned off and the windows had the curtains and blinds drawn.
โLeo! What the hell?!โ Hyde yelled and flicked on the lights. โI leave you alone for two days and you turn my store in a stoner den!โ
โOh, hey, man,โ Leo slurred. โYouโre back early. Come join us!โ
โNo, man, you gotta get out of here,โ he said sternly. โI donโt like what youโve turned my store into and, by the way, that you hired a new guy without telling me first!โ
โOh, yeah, I put a help wanted sign in the window.โ
โWhy would you do that?!โ
โBecause I needed help opening a jar of pickles, man.โ
Hyde had to take a deep breath before he said something he would regret. โYou and your friends need to be gone. Clean this mess up and leave. Iโll be in my office.โ He walked back to where his office was before turning around a second later. โThereโs an orgy in my office!โ He turned back to Leo. โGet them out of there!โ
โYou got it, man,โ Leo said and went into the office. The scene in front of him put a large smile on his face as he took his jacket off to join them.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย --Back at the Forman/Hyde residenceโ
โY/n, would you like to say something to Eric?โ Kitty asked as they all sat around the table.
โYeah,โ she responded and took the microphone. โHey, bro. I hope youโre doing well in Africa. I and the kids miss you. I know Hyde misses you, too. Not in the conventional way that a normal person with regulated emotions would, but in his own way. Like, the other day while we were in New Yorkโฆโ
Steven and Y/n were walking around the university town with the twins in the stroller. Idly chatting about nothing in particular, they came upon a thrift shop with a big window display. On the display were a couple mannequins wearing Star Wars t-shirts.ย
โOh, man, Eric would love that,โ Y/n pointed out nonchalantly.
โYeah, he would probably say he absolutely needs those t-shirts and go inside. And then when we tell him thatโs stupid and doesnโt need them, he would probably say, โWhy, you stuck up, half witted, scruffy looking nerf herders! You know nothing about good literature.โโ
She blinked at her husband. โIโm pretty sure he has said the exact same thing to me before.โ
โYeah, he was always full of stupid phrases like that. Sometimes it wouldnโt even make sense.โ
She laughed. โIt never did.โ
โYeahโฆitโs kinda quiet now without it. Itโs weird.โ
She nodded. โIt really is.โ
โIโm glad because now I donโt feel the urge to punch him in his stupid face.โ
Y/n raised an eyebrow at him. โUh-huh, sure.โ
โOh, and the constant whining, man. Youโre manlier than he was.โ
โUh, thanks?โ
โItโs good that heโs away,โ Steven said, this time a little softer. โI probably wonโt have to revoke his man card every time he whines about Donna.โ
Y/nโs gaze softened at him. โSteven?โ
โHm?โ he hummed, not taking his eyes off the shirt.
โItโs okay to miss him.โ
He scoffed. โI donโt miss that nerd. Weโre men, okay Y/n? Men donโt miss men.โ
This time she raised both eyebrows. โIs that so?โ
โYeah.โ He cleared his throat. โItโs weird. I can feel his absence and notice that itโs quieter without him and wish that he was here to make fun of Kelso and Mark with us, but no, I donโt miss him.โ
โSounds like you do.โ
โWell, I donโt!โ
โStevenโฆโ
โI donโt miss people, Y/n. You and the kids are basically the only ones I would because youโre my family. Thatโs the only time a man can miss someone.โ
โSteven, Eric is family to you.โ
โYeah? So, what if he is more like a brother to me than my actual brother? Doesnโt mean anything.โ
โI think it does.โ
โNo, stop trying to contradict me!โ
She laughed. โIโm not trying to, but it sounds like youโre denying that you miss him. Just say that you do. No one will blame or judge you.โ
โFine, I miss him, alright?! There, ya happy?!โ
She smiled at him before laying a hand on his cheek and kissing him. โA little. Hey, I miss him too. Everyone does. He was the weird glue to our group.โ
โYeah, he wasโฆโ
โBut, itโs a good thing he left so he can move on with his life just like we are. Just like everyone is. Itโs not like you guys are going to grow apart. Weโre literally family.โ
He smiled at her and kissed her once more. โCome on, letโs get back to campus so you can finish registering and then we can get something to eat.โ
โAnd then you know, he spent the rest of the time insulting you some more,โ Y/n said, concluding the story. โBut it was all out of a place of love. I can send you pictures of the twins. Leo and Kat have started laughing. You shouldโve seen Hydeโs reactionโฆโ
โAlright, Leo, your diaper is changed and fresh,โ Hyde said and sat on the couch with his son in his lap. He stared at Leoโs face, noticing small details of his sonโs features. โYou are a handsome little man, just like your dad,โ he said, cackling. โYouโre going to be a ladies man, for sure.โ A beat passed. โI hope you know that Iโm not going anywhere. Iโm not going to be like my parents and bail on you. Iโm in for the long haul, man. Donโt you ever forget that.โ Leo gripped Hydeโs finger so tight, it almost brought tears to his eyes. โCan you keep a secret? I donโt think Iโve ever loved anyone as much as I love you and your sister. And that says a lot because your mom is the one I have loved the most. And that also says a lot because Iโve never loved anyone. I guess you guys have changed that.โ He hummed and gazed at his son lovingly. โMan, you really are the cutest thing Iโve ever seen. Arenโt you?โ He tickled his stomach and Leo let out a gurgled laugh.
Steven froze in his place, staring at his son. โDid you justโ?โ He tickled Leo again, which caused another fit of giggles. โOh, my God,โ he gasped, a wide smile spread across his smile. โLeo, man, youโre laughing! Y/n! Y/n, get down here!โ He stood with Leo in his arms and bomb rushed to their stairs.
When he got to the middle of the stairs, Y/n was already half way down. โWhat? Iโm in the middle of packing our room. Which, by the way, you promised you would help!โ
โLeo laughed.โ
โHe what?!โ
โHe laughed, man! Listen,โ he responded and tickled Leo again. Leo squirmed in his hold but let out a high pitched laugh.
โOh, my God!โ Y/n cried out, excited. โOur baby boy laughed!โ
โYes, he did!โ Hyde exclaimed. โWhereโs Kat? I want to see if she laughs, too.โ
โYeah, sheโs hanging out with me,โ Y/n responded as they both rushed to their room to see Kat laying down in her bassinet. โHi, baby, can you laugh for mommy and daddy?โ She tickled her daughterโs belly, but only received a smile. โCan you laugh for us?โ
An idea popped in Stevenโs head. He tickled Leoโs stomach again, gaining another laugh from him. When he giggled, that triggered a small laugh out of Kat. And before Y/n and Steven knew it, they were both laughing, ping-ponging off each other.
โOh, my God. This is the greatest thing ever,โ Y/n said, laughing herself.
โIt really is,โ Steven agreed as he stared lovingly at his family.
โBut, you didnโt hear it from me,โ Y/n said and handed the microphone to her mom. โI gotta go finish up some packing before me and Donna hang out tonight. Are you still okay to watch the twins for me?โ
โWell, I have to be since youโre leaving for New York in three weeks!โ Kitty said, albeit loudly.
Y/n looked at her guiltily, but since she returned from New York, all she had been saying were apologies and expressing her guilt, but never regret. And it annoyed Kitty that Y/n wasnโt admitting it.
Silently, Y/n left the kitchen and made her way into the basement to look for more boxes, but when she entered the room, Markus and Jackie were talking.
โWhy didnโt you tell me you wanted to get married sooner?โ Jackie asked him.
Y/stopped in her tracks and slowly retreated back up the stairs, but stayed at the top to listen in.
โBecause I wasnโt sure if I was ready yet,โ he answered truthfully. โAnd now that Iโve thought about it, I was right. Iโm not ready yet.โ
โYet?โ Jackie asked hopeful, but nodded. โOh, okay. I canโโ
Suddenly, the door opened and a tall, thin blonde woman entered the basement. โHi, Iโm looking forโMARKUS! Hi baby, I missed you!โ
โUh...hey, Sam,โ Markus greeted her, confused.
โWho the hell is that?!โ Jackie asked, nastily.
โThis is Sam. Sheโs a strโโ Markus stopped himself and cleared his throat. โAn exotic dancer I met in Vegas.โ He turned back to her. โIโm sorry, whatโre you doing here?โ
โYou donโt remember? We got married!โ she announced.
โOh, my God!โ Y/n and Jackie exclaimed un unison while Markus sat there with his mouth hanging open.
Markus, Jackie, and Sam whipped their heads to see Y/n on the stairs before bolting it back up.
โMom! Mom! Gimme the recorder!โ Before she let Kitty hand it to her, she had already snatched it from her.
โAlright, Miss Grabby Hands. Whatโs so important?โ
Y/n ignored her as she fumbled to press the record button. โEric! Eric! Markus married a stripper!โ
Kitty gasped. โWhat?!
โHey, Hon,โ Y/n greeted Hyde as he walked into their bedroom. She walked over, giving him a quick peck on the lips and went back to the box she was currently packing. โHow was your day?โ
โIt was fine,โ he responded and took off his jacket. โRandy is growing on me. Knows how to run the hell out of a store, too. He said he used to run quiet a few businesses before moving here.โ
โHe moved to Point Place? Why?โ she scoffed.
He shrugged and sat on the bed to remove his shoes. โSaid he wanted a fresh start and was tired of the city.โ
โWhatever floats his boat, I guess,โ she chuckled and turned back to the box. โIโve packed a majority of our stuff, but I still need your help with the babiesโ stuff. When you get a secโare you okay?โ
She noticed that Hyde wasnโt listening, but instead was sitting at the end of the bed, staring at the wall.
โHmm? Yeah, Iโm fine. Just thinkinโ.โ
โAbout?โ
He let out a puff of air and scratched his neck. โAbout the move, the storeโฆeverything.โ
Y/n suddenly knew where this was going. โOh, no. Donโt you tell me you want to stay behind.โ
โFor the first time in my life I feel like Iโm doing something right and have something going.โ
She stood abruptly. โAre you serious?!โ
โY/n, pleaseโฆโ
โNo, Steven! You expect me to leave while you get to stay here with our children?โ
โNo, I thoughtโโ
โOh, you thought Iโd take them with me?โ
โNo! Y/n, Iโโ he sighed frustratingly before raking his hands down his face. โThatโs not what I meant at all.โ
โThen what did you mean?โ
โI-I,โ he stuttered, not knowing how to word this. โIโm justโIโm just saying that maybe, we stay for a little while so I can make sure the store is in good hands before we leave. Or..."
"Or?"
"Yeah, I stay behind."
โHow can you say that?!โ she exclaimed. โIโm over here busting my hump packing our boxes to move into our new apartmentโthe one that we applied for and got by the wayโand thinking about how my husband and I can actually start our life instead of being tied down to such a small town where nothing ever happens, and now Iโm being told that you donโt want to move with me? And split the family?!โ
โNo, no, thatโs not what I want at all!โ He quickly stood to meet his wife. โWhat I wanted to say wasโฆโ
Y/n quirked an eyebrow at him.
โโฆyeah, I want to stay here.โ
โAre you kidding me?! Why?!โ
โBecause I just want to make sure that my business doesnโt go under!โ
โIf you were feeling this way, then why the hell did you sign an apartment lease with me?! How am I supposed to pay for rent now? I canโt afford that by myself!โ
โHey, youโre the one that decided to apply for out of state colleges without consulting me first!โ
โOh, so this is my fault?!โ
โYeah!โ
โWow,โ she said darkly. If he didnโt know any better, he would think she was planning his demise, but he was too mad to care at the moment.
โWell, imagine my reaction when I found out you wanted to move to New York without telling me! You didnโt ask if I wanted to move, you just did it!โ
โBecause I didnโt think Iโd get in! And I didnโt want to stress either of us out about getting into a school that wasnโt likely I was going to get in!โ
โYeah, that turned out well didnโt it?โ
โHow could you be so selfish?โ
โMe?!โ he shouted, now his blood boiling. โIโM being selfish?! Youโre the one who is about to pack up and leave her family behind for some stupid dream of being a scientist!โ The second it left his mouth, he wanted to chew his words back in, but the damage had already been done.
Shocked silence fell over Y/n. She stared at her husband with watery eyes, betrayal beating through her heart like needles. โStupid, huh? Was it stupid when I supported you through when you met your real dad? Or when my dad kicked you out and I went with you, risking homelessness?! When I chose you even when my parents said not to? Not to mention when you dipped out on me for a few days when you found out I was pregnant! Please, Steven, tell me, when do I deserve to focus on my career goals instead of just standing on the sidelines, helping you achieve yours?โ She yelled, crossing her arms.
Steven swallowed hard, regret thick in his throat. โIโm not saying that you canโt ever go after your dreams.โ
โYou just did.โ
โNo, Iโโ
She held up a hand, stopping him. โDonโt. Iโm going to continue packing. Since itโs way too much for you to support my dreams and only yours, you can stay here. Me and the babies are going to New York.โ She hiccupped, forcing her sobs down, but not before she let the tears burn her eyes and run down her cheeks. She forced herself to turn away from him and throw open her door.
โY/n, no! Wait!โ he called after her and ran after her as she stomped down the stairs, desperate to get away from him. โPlease! Let me explain!โ
โYouโve said enough!โ she choked out and they crossed through living into the kitchen where Kitty was cooking meatloaf.
โNo! Wait, baby, please!โ He reached for her elbow to stop her.
She stopped but refused to look at him.
โPlease donโt go,โ he continued and grazed his hand down to hers, lacing his fingers through hers. โLetโs talk. Come on, doll.โ
Tears continued to race down her grief-stricken face. โThereโs nothing to talk about. You made your point.โ
โNo, thatโs not what Iโโ
โI need to clear my head.โ
โWhat? Y/n, come on, stay and let meโโ
โPlease, Steven,โ she begged, her voice so soft, it broke Hydeโs heart. โJust leave me alone.โ
The wobble in her voice made him let go of her hand, his own shaking. He nodded and stepped back. โOkay.โ
Wiping her tears, she quickly stepped out the kitchen and out to the driveway. โWatch the twins in the meantime.โ She shut the door before walking away.
โWhat happened?โ Kitty asked gently.
โI messed up,โ Hyde responded, his eyes glued to Y/n as she walked away. โAnd this time itโs bad.
Y/n found herself walking around Point Place for a while to clear her headโand to let the tears fall. She didnโt want to go back home with her face red and puffy. When she felt her face was dry enough, she walked herself over to The Hub. Thankfully, it was empty, except for Donnaโฆwho was shoveling ice cream into her mouth.
โDonna?โ
She spun around with red, puffy eyesโmuch like Y/nโs. Concern immediately gnawed at Y/n who made her way over to Donna who had fresh tears running down her face.
She sat across from her and stared at her blotchy face. โDonna, what happened?โ
Donna sniffled and wiped her nose on her sleeve. With a wobbly and broken voice, she said, โEric broke up with me.โ
Y/nโs eyes widened. โHe WHAT?!โ
โYeah,โ she sobbed and broke down crying again. โHe said that this long distance is killing him and he canโt do anymore.โ
Rage filled Y/nโs veins and for a moment she was thankful. โIโm going to kill that frigginโ idiot!โ
โWhy does he keep breaking up with me?โ
โBecause my brother thinks thatโฆyou see, the thing with Eric isโฆโ Y/n couldnโt think of the words to help make this situation better or even make it sense. Her shoulders slumped in defeat. โI donโt know. Heโs just stupid.
โDonna, Iโm so sorry that he did that to you. Youโre amazing and deserve better.โ
โI know, whatโs wrong with him?!โ she continued to sob.
โIโve been asking that question for nineteen years.โ
That earned a wet chuckle out of Donna. โIโm sorry. I normally donโt cry in public, but I didnโt want to be near my dad. He will try to cheer me up by telling me jokes andโฆhis jokes arenโt good.โ
โOn the bright side, at least heโll distract you for a little bit,โ Y/n said, which made them both erupt into light giggles.
โYeah, heโs really good about that. I mean, I called my mom cryingโฆagain. She said that with how many times me and Eric have broken up that I should find someone who isnโt going to give me emotional whiplash.โ
โWow, she said that? Iโm impressed.โ
โYeah, but then she asked me how many coconuts do we need to make coconut water, soโฆโ
โAnd there we go,โ Y/n laughed and rubbed her eyes.
That made Donna really see her eyes, too. โWere you crying, too?โ
Fresh tears filled the brim of her eyes before screwing her eyes shut to prevent them from falling, but failed as they escaped down her cheeks.
โOh, my God, what happened?โ
Y/n had to take a deep breath to steady her voice. โS-Steven doesnโt want to move to New York anymore.โ
โWhat?!โ
She wiped her face once more and sniffed. โHe said that he wasnโt sure if he wanted to leave his business behind and then called my dream of becoming a scientist stupid.โ
Now it was Donnaโs turn to be filled with rage. โIโm going to kill him.โ She stood abruptly from her chair, causing it to screech against the floor. โWhere is he? Is he at home? Iโll drag his ass out the door by his โfro and kick his ass!โ
โNo, Donna, itโs fine,โ Y/n called after her.
โNo, Y/n, itโs not!โ Donna argued. โHe made a promise that he would and now heโs going back on his word? No, thatโs not right!โ
โI know, Donna, I know,โ she sniffled. โWeโre just going to have to work something out. Maybe I can drop out and just go to the university in Milwaukee or something.โ
Donna sat back down to face her best friend. โIs that what you really want?โ
She shook her head, fighting back tears. โNo, but I love Steven and care more about my marriage.โ
โNo, you go to New York and Steven goes with you because thatโs what a good spouse does. He canโt expect you to always give up on your dreams so he can follow his.โ
โDonna, he called my dream stupid,โ Y/n whined and burst into tears again.
Donna swore she could feel the boiling hot rage course through her. โIโll be right back.โ
Before Y/n could stop her, Donna had practically sprinted out the building, bursting through the doors.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย
โSo, then, I said to her, โMaโam, thereโs nothing in the back. I promise you, if we had anymore Bee Gee albums, itโd be here on the floor,โโ Randy explained to Steven as they sat alone in the record store.
โWhat did she say after that?โ Steven asked, leaning against the counter.
โWell, after I calmed her down, I saidโโ
โHYDE!โ Donna screamed as she threw open the doors. โWhat the HELL is wrong with you?!โ
Steven blinked at her. โWell, I assume a lot of things, but the big one I think isโโ
โSHUT UP,โ she screamed, causing him to immediately shut his mouth. Her outburst threw Hyde for a loop. โHow could you say that to Y/n?!โ
It dawned on him. โOh, you heard about that.โ
โYeah,โ Donna mocked him. โMind telling me why you called her dream stupid and now refuse to move to New York with her?โ
โDude, youโre moving to New York? Does this mean I get to run the store by myself?โ Randy asked, hopeful.
โZip it, Farrah Fawcett!โ Donna snapped and turned back to Hyde. โCare to explain yourself?โ
โOkay, first off, I donโt know why youโre being so pissy, so whatever is causing it, itโs not my fault so knock it off,โ Hyde warned, already fed up. โAnd second, this isnโt your business, so butt out.โ
โOh, it is when she comes to me bawling her eyes out because her husband is a complete tool!โ
His face softened at the mention of Y/n crying. โLook, Donna, this is a complicated situation thatโs between husband and wife. Iโm still trying to figure things out.โ
โNo,โ she said sternly, still pissed off. โYou donโt get to suddenly act like youโre the victim when you might as well punched your wife in the gut.โ
โOkayโฆIโm going to go on my lunch break now,โ Randy said awkwardly and made his way out the door.
โWhat you said was really, really low,โ Donna continued, staring daggers into him. โYou need to apologize to her now. Especially if you want to keep her as your wife.โ
โWhat about me, Donna?!โ he asked angrily. โNot once has anyone ever asked me what I wanted! She didnโt even tell me she was applying! Imagine my surprise when an acceptance letter came in the mail and she up and said weโre moving to New York. Never mind a conversation about what Iโm going to do with my career if we move out of state. She just expected me to drop everything for her and her future! So, excuse me for not being supportive!โ
โWait, she didnโt say anything to you about it?โ
โNo, Donna! I didnโt know she even applied for out of state!โ
Donna was silent for a moment before her eyes reached Hydeโs. โExcuse me.โ
Before he could respond, she was out the door.
Of course I told him!โ Y/n defended as she continued to pack. โHe just never remembers! I have to repeat myself ten times to that bonehead for him to finally listen!โ She threw the last of the shoes into the box, frustrated. โItโs from all that circle time all these years!โ
โI donโt know, Y/n, he seemed really upset,โ Donna said as she sat on the bed.
โWell, Iโm not giving up this opportunity,โ she said stubbornly. โI finally have something going for me instead of just being someoneโs wife or mother. I want to be something more. I deserve to be more!โ
โI know, but did you ever stop to think that he has something going on for him? Remember growing up all he thought he wasnโt going to do much with his life because no one in his family did? Let alone, support him? He finally has a career that heโs good at. Did you even say anything to him about wanting to apply out of state?โ
Y/nโs movements stuttered for a moment, but continued packing. โNo, I didnโt want to upset him if I didnโt get in.โ
โWell, that worked out well didnโt it?โ
โLook, Donna, I donโt need judgement from anyone right now.โ
โIf you had talked to him than maybe heโd be willing to move.โ
Frustrated, she shut the box and kicked it aside. โHe degraded my career choice, okay? I can expect from literally everyone else, but my own husband?!โ
โI know, and Iโm sure he feels terrible about that, but youโre not in the right either.โ
โAre you seriously taking his side?!โ
โIโm not taking either sides, Y/n!โ Donna defended. โIโm just saying that heโs upset for a very valid reason! You guys need to sit down and talk.โ
โOh, he said all he needed to say.โ
โTry again when youโre not mad,โ Donna said and stood. โI gotta go. I have a date.โ
Y/n scrunched her eyebrows at her. โAlready?โ
โYeah,โ Donna replied casually. โA carton of ice cream and some trash tv.โ
โIโd offer to join you, but I know Iโm not good company right now.โ
โThatโs okay,โ she said and rubbed Y/nโs shoulder. โI think Iโd rather be alone right now. I need to figure things out anyway.โ
Y/n nodded. โNo problem. You know where to find me if you change your mind.โ
She nodded at her best friend. โI know.โ She turned on her heel and walked out, leaving Y/n alone.
Y/n had been rage packing for hours that she hadnโt noticed she was sweating. She walked across the hall to the twinsโ room and peered inside to see them still sleeping. Quietly backing away, she made her way to the shower, allowing the hot water to wash away the dayโs stress and heartache.
While she let the hot water roll down her body, she heard the door open and quietly click closed. The curtain shower opened to reveal a naked Hyde and wordlessly hopped in the shower with her. He wrapped his arms around her torso and pulled her close, the water falling on his curls.
โIโm sorry,โ he whispered and kissed her shoulder. โIโm so sorry.โ
Tears brimmed her eyes as she screwed them shut and sniffled. โIโm sorry, too. I shouldโve told you.โ
He nodded, agreeing with her. โYeah, but I was way out of line for telling you your dream was stupid. Your dream isnโt stupid. Itโs admirable and I love that youโre going into something that you actually love.โ
โA little bit,โ she agreed and turned to face him. โBut I was wrong, too. I shouldโve talked to you first. Itโs not just about me anymore. Itโs us. A family.โ
He sighed. โThis is what I was afraid ofโฆโ
Y/nโs face fell. โAfraid of what? Afraid of us?โ
โNo, Iโโ he sighed and set his forehead on her shoulder. โIโI, God, I stuck at this, I keep messing up. And I keep failing you.โ
โSteven, look at me,โ she said sternly and he lifted his head to meet her eyes. โYouโre not failing me, alright? Youโre pissing me off, thereโs a difference. But out of everything that youโre doing, youโre not failing me.โ
โY/n, I canโt even be sure if I want to move to New York, how is that not failing you?โ
โBecause this whole thing is my fault. I donโt blame you.โ
โWait, can you say that again? I wanna get that on tape.โ
โShut up,โ she giggled.
Hyde placed his finger under her chin. โHey, I love you.โ
โI love you,โ she responded and leaned up to kiss him deeply. โWhat are we going to do though?โ
โI think I can allow someone I trust to run the store. I mean, itโs not like I canโt call or fly out to see how itโs going. Maybe I can open another location while weโre there. New York needs some good music, too.โ
โAre you sure? Look, I know how much this store means to you.โ
โNo, youโre my wife and thereโs no way we should be apart.โ
She quirked an eyebrow at him. โAre you sure youโre not just saying that so you can keep an eye on me to keep college boys away?โ
โMore like to keep you away.โ
Her jaw dropped. โSteven!โ
He chuckled. โWhat? You expect me to believe that youโre not going to leave me for some college preppy dillhole?โ
โYes,โ she monotoned, but gently lifted a hand to his face. โBecause I donโt know how many times Iโm going to tell you, but Iโll tell you over and over again that youโre the only one I want.โ
โYeah? Well, what if some brainiac, scientist dude comes along?โ
โThen Iโll have you kick his ass,โ she said lovingly.
โWell, I havenโt kicked anyoneโs ass in a while,โ he pondered. โCould be refreshing.โ
โYouโre an idiot,โ she laughed. Once her laughter calmed down, she looked back up at him with doe eyes. โSo, are we okay?โ
โYeah,โ he said and kissed her lightly. โWeโre okay.โ
She gave him a small smile before sighing. โWeโve still got a lot of packing to do. And I still need to get the keys for the apartment sent, call the moving companyโ"
โWhy donโt we worry about that later? Weโve got some making up to do,โ Steven said lowly. ย
โButโฆwe just didโoh,โ she said, catching on to what he was saying.
โThe babies are asleep, your parents are outโweโve got the whole place to ourselves.โ
โWell, I may have forgotten to tell you that the doctor cleared me andโโ
She let out a yelp as Hyde attacked her lips and slammed her against the wall. Shivers went down her spine at the coolness of the tiles, bringing relief as the steam encompassed them, making it hotter than it already was. Their breaths and tongues mingled together, devouring each other. Hands were moving every inch of their bodies, eliciting moans and sighs from the other.
Slowly, she trailed her finger down his chest to where he needed her the most. A broken sigh exhaled from his lips as she started to pump her fist, feeling her arousal heighten by the sounds he was making. He didnโt want her to go without, so he brushed his fingers to her breasts and pinched a nipple between his forefinger and middle finger. He tugged and pinched, enjoying every little sound that he pulled out of her before leaning down and taking the unoccupied nipple into his mouth.
A soft moan escaped her lips, but that wasnโt enough for him. The hand that was busy teasing her breast, trailed its way down her body. She gasped when he ran a finger through her folds, already feeling her arousal.
โAll wet already?โ he growled, chuckling.
โSteven,โ she whined, pulled him into a searing kiss by the neck.
Hyde hiked her leg over his hip before aligning himself. Before he did, he pulled away their breathtaking kiss and leaned his forehead against hers. โIโve got a lot of making up to do.โ
She nodded. โYou do. But so do I.โ
โI love you,โ he breathed.
She smirked. โProve it.โ
โAs you wish,โ he whispered before grabbing her by the hips and pushed into her, making her sigh at the feeling and her eyes to roll to the back of her head. Stilling in his movement, he allowed her to adjust as he kissed down her neck.
โI missed you,โ she whispered breathlessly.
โI missed you,โ he repeated before pulling his hips back and snapping them against hers.
A gasp escaped her as she relished in the pleasure of feeling him again. Wanting to savor the feeling of her again, he moved slowly and achinglyโbut not gently. Six weeks. Six long weeks of no intimacy, he wantedโno neededโher more now than when they first got together.ย
He held her hip in one hand and her hiked leg in another in bruising grips as he brutally slammed into her, nearly taking the breath out of her each time.
She let out high pitched moans each time, fighting to keep quiet in case the babies woke up or someone walked in. โMore,โ she demanded, breathlessly.
โOh, Iโll give you more,โ he growled that turned into a groan and captured her lips once more into a bruising kiss.
Moving her hands from his hair and neck, they traveled slowly down to his hips and tried to get them to move faster. A loud smack to her ass made her yelp and remove her hands.
โYouโll get it in a minute,โ he said lowly in her ear. โI just want to feel you first.โ
She leaned her head against the wall, her eyes fluttering closed at the sensation. โYouโre killing me,โ she said, huffing out at a laugh.
โYou should see what you do to me,โ he replied and let out a broken groan.
His words sent shivers down her spine, causing her to clench around him. He let out another strangled moan, making him pull out completely before slamming back into her aching center.
She let out a loud cry, but was quickly cut off by a harsh kiss to her lips. Another smack to her ass allowed her to open her legs wider to him.
โThatโs it,โ he praised. โGood girl.โ
His words went straight to her core, making her wetter than the shower floor. She threaded her fingers into his hair and tugged. Letting out another guttural moan, he bit down on her neck harshly and pistoned his hips into her, hitting her sweet spot.
She moaned loudly, dragging her nails down his back with one hand and trying to find something to grip onto with the other. Her hand landed on the shower caddy and put so much pressure on it that snapped off the shower head.
โBe careful, Doll, we donโt want anyone to hear us in case they come home,โ he warned her.
She tried to form a sentence, but all she could get out was garbled, โNu-uh nuh.โ
He chuckled darkly in her shoulder before removing his hand that was on her hip to her neck and brought her in for another searing kiss.
โGod, you feel amazing,โ he praised, his speed not letting up.
โI couldโoh, Godโsay the sameโฆabout y-you,โ she responded.
He began to pound into her hard enough that her body began slamming into the wall.
โSteven, I think Iโm gonnaโโ
โNot yet,โ he said and withdrew himself, setting her on her feet.
She whined and was about to protest, but he flipped her around to where her hands were planted onto the wall. He held her still in a firm grip as he made his way into her again.
โOh, my God!โ she screamed, the new angle making the sensation build up again. โS-Steven!โ
Another smack to her ass cracked through the small room, making her swallow her own moans.
โQuiet,โ he ordered. โYouโre going to wake the babies.โ
She bit her lip, struggling to stay silent while his harsh movements didnโt let up.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Meanwhileโฆ
Donna and Markus made their way up the Formanโs driveway before entering the kitchen.
โThanks for hanging out with me tonight, man,โ Markus said. โI know I dropped by unannounced, but I really appreciate you taking me out of the house.โ
โYeah, no problem,โ Donna responded and opened the fridge for a soda. โMaybe I needed it, too. I mean, my ice cream started to taste a little salty from all the tears.โ
Markus chuckled and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. โIโm always here, too.โ
She gave him a tight-lipped smile. โI appreciate it.โ
โIt can get lonely at times,โ he said, subconsciously taking a step closer to her without his hand leaving her shoulder. โBreak ups can make you feel that way and I just wanted to let you know that Iโm here if you need a shoulder to cry on.โ
Donna brought her hand to his as a friendly gesture, but instead their touch felt like electricity. Their eyes met for a brief moment, a spark flickering within them. โSame to you, Mark,โ she breathed.
They both quickly looked away, clearing their throats, and withdrew their hands quickly.
โWant to see if Y/n and Hyde are free? Iโm thinking we can all go see a movie or something,โ she asked.
โOr maybe some circle time?โ he offered.
She snapped her fingers at him, pointing a finger gun at him. โI like the way you think.โ
They both entered the living room as they continued the conversation.
โItโs perfect because itโs Hydeโs favorite pass time and itโll be a great send off for Kelsoโโ Donna was interrupted by the sound of banging.
โWhat is that?โ Markus asked.
โI donโt know,โ she responded and strained her ears. She started to hear faint moaning. โUhโฆโ
His eyebrows furrowed. โWhat?โ
โI think Hyde and Y/n made up.โ
His face screwed up in disgust. โEw.โ
โYeah...letโs get the hell of here,โ she said and practically ran out of the house.
โRight behind ya,โ he said, right on her tail.

โManโฆthis feels good,โ Hyde sighed as they sat in circle time.
โI know what also felt good for you earlier,โ Markus giggled.
โWhat does that mean?โ Y/n asked, completely sober. As much as she wanted to join them, she knew she couldnโt risk passing through her breast milk.
โWe heard you guys, uhโฆmaking up earlier,โ Donna said, giggling.
โYou guys WHAT?!โ Y/n exclaimed, making Hyde laugh. โSteven, this isnโt funny!โ
โIt is a little bit,โ he responded.
โUgh, this is so embarrassing!โ she cried out, putting her face in her hands.
โAt least we know you can give it to her good,โ Kelso said, smiling dumbly.
โShut up, Kelso!โ Y/n snapped.
โThatโs right,โ Hyde said, cracking a smile and threw an arm around her shoulder.
โYou guys make me want to drink myself into a coma,โ Y/n grumbled.
โHey, hey, to be fair, we had no idea that Hyde was into ass smacking and Y/n liked being called a โgood girl,โโโ Donna said, laughing.
โOh, my God!โ Y/n shrieked, her face turning a crimson red. Even Hyde was starting to feel his neck and ears heating up.
โI now know more about you two than I thought I ever would,โ Markus said and smirked at them. โI didnโt know you were so dominant and demanding, Hyde.โ
โYeah, you guys were such freaks!โ Kelso chimed in, laughing widely.
Hyde reached over and slammed his fist into Kelsoโs shoulder.
โAh!โ Kelso yelped, holding his arm, then he laughed. โMan, am I gonna miss this!โ
โCan we change the subject instead of talking about mine and Stevenโs sex life, please?โ Y/n begged.
โWe could, but this is funnier,โ Fez giggled, but flinched away when he saw Hyde raise his fist. โOr not.โ
โSo, whereโs Jackie?โ Donna asked, inhaling the sweet, green plant.
โI donโt know and quite frankly, I donโt care,โ Markus responded, rubbing his red eyes. โI havenโt heard from her since we got back.โ
โWe, as in you and the stripper?โ Y/n asked, trying not to judge.
โLook, man, I didnโt even know I married her, okay?โ Markus said. โI honestly donโt want her anymore. She moved in with me and my family is so uncomfortable with her being there. The other day, she taught my mom how to seduce my dad with a strip tease.โ He shivered at the memory. โI donโt even want to know what my mom did with that information.โ
โOkay? Then get an annulment and send her back home to whoreville,โ Fez responded and giggled before sighing. โBoy, do I want a whore.โ
โYeah, yeah, Fez, weโve heard this a million times,โ Hyde said and turned back to Markus. โSo, tell me, whatโs it like being married to a stripper?โ He quickly changed his tone when he realized Y/n glaring at him. โOr, you know, whatever.โ
She stared at her husband before whipping her head back to Markus. โActually, yeah, do tell.โ
โYou guys are so perverted,โ Markus laughed and propped the joint between his lips. โItโs weird and I can see the disappointment in my conservative parentsโ eyes every time they look at me.โ
โI know that feeling,โ Y/n said and this time it was Hydeโs turn to glare at her. โCโmon, you were there. You know how that went. But, itโs great and they love you now!โ
โUh huh,โ he hummed.
โAnyway, Iโve been trying to break up with her, but every time I try, she just suddenly just throws herself at me and itโs like, the best sex of my life,โ Markus continued.
โReally? You should get checked out for crabs,โ Hyde said nonchalantly and reached for the joint. He inhaled the plant and turned back to Y/n. โAre you sure you donโt want a hit?โ
โI mean, I could, I would just have to pump and dump later,โ she replied and took the joint from his hand. She put the joint to her lips and inhaled deeply. When she exhaled, she let out a long-exaggerated sigh. โOh. My. God.โ
โGood stuff, eh?โ Hyde asked her and took the joint back from her.
โGod, I missed this stuff,โ she said and took the joint one more time, inhaling deeply. โI gotta do this more often.โ
โWhat happened to โwe are parents now and we canโt do this anymore?โโ Hyde asked her, pitching his voice higher.
โShut up, I donโt sound like that,โ she giggled, starting to feel the effect. โAnd I changed my mind.โ
โMan, this is the best night ever!โ Kelso cried out. โIโm moving to Chicago to work as a security guard at a Playboy club, Y/nโs doing circle time again, Markus is married to stripper, and Donnaโs been making eyes at him all night--just like high school. Except, it was Eric, not Markus. This is nice.โ
โWhat?!โ Donna cried out, exasperated. โI havenโt been making eyes at him at all!โ
โYeah, you are!โ Kelso defended. โI see some spark between you. Just admit it!โ
โDonna, you and my brother just broke up,โ Y/n said, slightly disappointed. ย
โI havenโt been making eyes at him!โ Donna defended. โBesides, heโs not over Jackie and married to a stripper. I donโt want to get involved with that circus.โ
โOh, come on, itโs not even much of a circus,โ Markus defended. โJackie and I are done and Iโm going to have Sam move out this week. Iโโ
Suddenly, the door opened.
โMarkus, baby?โ Sam asked, coming through the door.
โSam? Whatโre you doing here?โ he asked, standing up.
โITโS THE STRIPPER!โ Kelso shouted excitedly. โTHIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!โ
โShut up, Kelso,โ Hyde snapped and smacked him upside the head.
Sam made eye contact with him and furrowed her eyebrows. โYou look familiar. Have we met?โ
Hydeโs eyes widened and quickly looked to his wife who was giving him the dirtiest look she has ever given him.
He quickly shook his head. โNope. Never met you in my damn life.โ
โSteven, what the hell does she mean by that?โ Y/n seethed.
โI-I donโt know!โ Steven panicked.
โHuh, you definitely look like someone Iโd get with,โ she said innocently.
โCan it, stripper!โ Y/n shouted. โHeโs married. Mine, not yours!โ
She brought up her hands in defense. โWhoa, chill. I was just saying thatโโ
โYeah, well, donโt,โ Y/n said and turned to her husband and brought him down for a passionate, searing kiss. Hyde let out a surprised yelp but quickly melted into it as he placed his hands on her hips. When she pulled away, he chased her lips and pulled her in for another kiss.
โHEY!โ Donna shouted, clapping her hands which caused the couple to pull apart. โGet a room!โ
โYeah!โ Fez added on. โIt gives me needs!โ
โSteven, baby, letโs go upstairs to our bedroom,โ Y/n purred and grabbed his hand, leading him upstairs. โIโm sure our children are asleep.โ
โAlright, thatโs enough,โ Markus cut in sternly, rubbing his forehead. โThat wonโt be necessary.โ
โOh, thank God, Iโm exhausted from earlier,โ she sighed and plopped back down on the couch.
Markus shook his head and turned back to his wife. โSam, you didnโt answer my question. Why are you here? Why arenโt you at home?โ
โIโve been looking for you,โ she answered. โI wanted to make sure you werenโt hanging aroundโฆyou-know-who.โ
โOkay, Sam, listen,โ Markus sighed. โI need you to go back home so we can talk.โ
โAbout what, baby?โ
He cringed internally. โAbout us. Just go and Iโll meet you there.โ
She sighed, โOkay.โ
As soon as the door shut, he turned back to the group. โIโm going to have to hide our valuables before I break the news to her.โ
โYou think sheโs going to steal them?โ Y/n asked, craning her neck to look up at him.
โOr break them,โ he answered. โI donโt know who she is when she gets angry.โ
โAll I know is that sheโs super hot!โ Kelso said loudly.
โYou want her? You can have her,โ Markus deadpanned.
โYou mean that?โ Fez asked.
โDown, boy,โ Y/n said, grabbing Fez by the shoulder and shoving him down onto the couch.
โSheโs not a piece of meat, guys,โ Donna said.
โBut sheโs a stripper,โ Kelso added.
โSheโs not an object to ogle at!โ she fought.
โBut sheโs a stripper!โ he said, louder.
โSheโs a human being!โ Donna yelled.
โBUT SHEโS A STRIPPER!โ Kelso yelled back, louder.
โOkay, this can go on for a while,โ Y/n said, and stood up. โIโm going to go because we still have to finish packing. โYou guysโฆfigure this out on your own.โ
Hyde and Y/n trotted up the stairs as they listened to their friends bickering. When the door to the basement shut, and their friendsโ voices had been muted completely, she turned to her husband. โIโm going to miss those guys as much as they bug me.โ
โYeah, Iโm going to miss punching Kelso,โ he responded, laughing.
As they entered the living room, the doorbell rang.
Y/n checked the clock as it read passed 9:00pm. โWhoโs here at this hour?โ
Hyde strolled over to the door and cautiously opened it. โMom?โ
โEdna?โ Y/n asked in unison with Steven.
โWhatโre you doing hereโฆagain?โ Hyde asked. โI thought I told you to stay out of our lives.โ
โI know, but I have news for you.โ
โThat youโre leaving? Because thatโd be the first,โ he snarked. โLook, if youโre here to see the twins, theyโre already asleep and weโre still in the middle of packโโ
โNo, thatโs not it,โ she said, her voice quiet and solemn. Something that heโs never seen her before.
โEdna, whatโs wrong?โ Y/n asked, shuffling past Steven.
The dark brunette fought to keep the tears from resurfacing.
โMom, whatโs going on?โ Steven asked, quieter. โDid you get evicted or something?โ
โNo,โ she responded.
โThen whatโโ
โBud is dead.โ
