Apollo and the muses are secretly running some deadly ancient greek version of american idle and noone can convince me otherwise. How does this just happen on the regular???
Like Arachne was kinda stupid to have a weave off with Athena but at least noone after her tried that again??
So a few days ago I was alerted that gotstabbedbyapen's blog got nuked (tumblr why), and I realized I/we can help salvage her posts if/when she comes back (I'm not sure if she will, but I & @echo-loves-flowerboy wanted to preserve as much of Pen's work as possible because she worked so hard on them!)
so without further ado, here are all of the posts that I had reblogged from Pen's blog! Feel free to search your own blog for any more of her posts.
One of my thoughts is that Apollo wouldn't care had it been Thamyris that Hyacinthus had chosen instead of him. he would actually be happy, what angers him is Thamyris' hubris
but Thamyris is stupid, stupid enough to brag about being better than the muses
I actually wholeheartedly agree, and I hate when people make it seem like Apollo was involved with Thamyris’ punishment because he wanted Hyacinth for himself or something.
Anticlea and her gay cousin (Thamyris)

Apollo, to his grandson: Fuck Thamyris, all my homies hate Thamyris!
Helios, to his granddaughter: Medea you go sweetie! Grandpa's got your back no matter how many crimes you commit!
Artemis retellings part 3
Retellings really like to make female characters 17 years old
Sorry, but there was only the spanish version on Amazon
So it's inspired on the myth of Callisto but the protagonist is Polyboea
Thamyris is part of the story
Apollo talks to Artemis that not every woman wishes to be a eternal virgin
At some point she visits a temple of Hestia where a priestess says that Polyboea was chosen by Artemis or something like that
Of course the book goes with the stereotype that every lover Apollo had suffered a tragic end 🙄
Orion is mentioned
Well that's ridiculous
If the cover and synopsis feels familiar it's because
I posted about the prequel a while ago
It's terrible...
This one is also really bad
Cassandra is living with Artemis and some guy named Saber
Is Cassandra of Troy, reincarnated
"but Apollo had this knack for forgiving others that Artemis hadn't attempted to master. She preferred to nurse a grudge into a long, drawn out hate."
HUH????
Apollo LOVED to hold grudges and would refuse to forgive sometimes!
"She was the type of woman he always thought he'd marry, only she'd be one of his kind, and mortal."
The worst part is that I totally believe the writer would have Artemis getting married 😐
"Once he's accomplished what he'd set out to do, then she would be free to get her revenge on Cassandra and she would have her brother back."
Wait, she really thinks the remaining Olympians will let her go back home? 🤦♂️
This Leo guy is the lover of Athena. It's dumber than what you think
Greek deities can die here, through the Blade of Olympus- I mean Olympian Dagger
"Hecate, their sister, the mother of witchcraft, invented a potion that would strip an immortal of their power and turn them to stone."
But Hecate wasn't their sister?
This is Demeter and Hestia erasure
Hera is part of the plan to kill Zeus
Zeus had put some curse on Hades and Persephone that forbade them from leaving the Underworld
Looks ok
The quality isn't the best but I hope you can understand the text
Yeah basically
