Thairat Interview with Jinyoung
Trans by wangjinbeom
Q: If you have a superpower like Lee An for a day, whom would you wanna use it on? JY: I wanna touch myself so that I recall memories in the past. If you ask me which period I wanna go back, I’d say it’s the time that I was dreaming of doing things I am doing these days
Q: There was a showering scence where you had to take off the top. The fans got so excited by your gorg body. How did you prepare yourself before filming? JY: I worked very hard at exercise. It’s the 1st time and might be the last time doing this hard. Actually, the producer told me he wanna see Lee Ah who’s good at fighting and has muscular body, but his muscles shouldn’t be like build-up-muscles it should be the genuine muscles that he gains from his lifestyle and fights. Even though the PD was not that serious, I tried to shape up the body and worked out for 3-4 months, together with being on diet, before filming that scene.
Q: Did the members of #GOT7 watch the drama? JY: Yes, Yugyeom, Jaebeom, and Mark did. Jaebeom said I’d definitely be exhausted
Q: When debut, you style seemed to be cute, but as you grew up now, it seemingly becomes like warm-boyfriend-style Do you feel the development? JY: I think it’s still cute (laugh) but since the debut till now, development is inevitable.
Q: What is the most difficult part of doing well in both roles: an actor and an idol? JY: 1st is abt body and energy. You’ll be surrounded by crowds when standing on a stage as a singer whereas acting gives different atmosphere. The difficulty is then to switch on/off the modes between roles, which I think I’m lacking comparing to the seniors
Q: GOT7 went on US tour so are there any fun stories sharing to us? Also, you came to Thailand alone this time round, is there anything from the members? JY: We gained lots of new experiences from US tour. After the concerts, we had much spare time to workout. It’s a sweaty month. About coming to Thailand, I’m still wondering if the members learn abt it (laugh). I want them to know tho.
Q: You’re well known as a bookworm. Many of your fans wanna know what you’re reading recently? JY: I sometimes think the real me doesn’t suit the word ‘bookworm’. I like reading books but might be inexperienced, comparing to the real bookworms. Getting this nickname makes be feel happy and guilty. The most recent book that I read is Producer’s Notebook which I’ve just started
Q: Lastly, anything you wanna say to Thai fans? JY: Fanmeeting becomes true because of the fans’ support. I really feel honored and thankful. For acting/drama, I wish it would not just a work that come to entertain you and gone, but it could bring the audiences the moral and various feelings that can be applied to their real lives.
