So, I am feeling under the weather these past few days but I still manage to go to work. I thought this is just because I went running out in the rain and will be better after I sleep, but no. My throat is itchy and I got colds. The reason I took the swab test is when I learned one of my colleagues got covid. Turns out I also have. This makes me think again to pause and refocus. I enjoy work, but I enjoy being a Mom better. And today, since I know I am sick, I cannot talk to my kids. I cannot hug and kiss them. I cannot do my lecture to them. I am removing my mask in the office, which I regret and wished I did not. I am feeling better now but still choose to keep distance from the kids. I wish time will come I don’t to work anymore but will still have enough to survive and help others at the same time. I also wish and hope and pray to get a lot of time to spend with my family. That this job will allow me to be more of a Mom and wife than an employee.

So everyone is talking about Inside Out 2 and giving their review about the movie. Funny because we all can relate at some point. Those emotions and how they affect our decisions, how they affect our behavior, how it affects our personality. I watched it with my kids and asked them how they find the movie. As we watched on 3D, the graphics is what they commented first. But later on they said it was a good movie and that even Sadness do good on us. True, as we need to feel every emotion. Just because we are sad at the moment, doesn’t mean that we are bad on handling situations. We may be happy but does not mean we are not hurting inside. Anxiety is a new character on this movie that I really appreciate. We should really acknowledge this emotion and be able to manage at the same time. This maps out our plans, dreams, actions and decisions to a situation that is yet to happen. Every emotion is valid. Every emotion should be acknowledged. Accepting our emotions can lead us to better decision and better self. I wish we can have more movies like this that we can discuss with our kids. But truth is, this movie doesn’t only apply to kids. Can be something we need to evaluate at workplace. Something we can refer to so be can provide better judgement at work. That’s it for now! Last week, my former boss bid goodbye and left the company. The announcement from HR mentioned that he is leaving to pursue more challenging role outside the company. I am thinking if he planned that even before or was just due to the current circumstances at the office. That led me to thinking of my own career. What would be my plans for the next 5 years? What if the company decide that they don’t my services anymore? How can I cope with the changes in the organization? Too many uncertainties, too many doubts. Even those that are focused and has passion can still change path, change the plan. What about my path? How can I be stable? How can I adapt? One thing’s for sure, I will survive. I will tribe to what ever changes come along. I need to and I am determined to. With a lot of prayer, I know I can do this. I will be better as a leader and will surpass my own limits. I reckon this!
