She was an oopsie baby! Megatron and Starscream would’ve never planned for a creation, they have a very weird and unhealthy relationship that not even they can figure out lol

When Deadlock was “adopted” he would hiss, growl, scratch and bite anyone that tried to touch him (Soundwave included sometimes), which worked great for him since it would make most people back off. Supernova is not most people.

She pushed through until eventually Deadlock became just as clingy as her.

If, big if, it happens, it won’t be for a long long time, Supernova would be all grown up by then and wouldn’t need or want her creators constant approval anymore. And even if they made up, at most they’d be cordial, it could never go back to a close father daughter relationship, too much would’ve happened by then.

Funny thing is, in the current point we are time wise, if Megatron realized that he’s harming her more than he’s helping, if he actually tried to change, they could have a healthy close bond.

Little bit? But nothing really solid. I was thinking of making her paint the opposite of her current one, but funnily enough, she has senator Shockwave’s colors lol

Megatron has always pushed Supernova past her limits, and since she’s just as stubborn as him, she pushes way past that

Which has ended with her in the medbay multiple times, but it’s fiiinee, Megs makes sure she’s properly fixed everytime

I've been following thus au on your X/Twitter and TikTok page so now I have a question.

So when Megatron sees supernova like in pain or battered/ injured does he help? Get concerned? Or is he his usual reserved self??

So this question has 2 answers. When Supernova was a kid, she would mostly get hurt while sparring with Megatron, and he would always push her to keep going despite it. He usually never let it get too far though, nothing that went past a quick medbay visit at most. Although on the rare occasion she was heavily injured, he would rush her to a doctor and order them to treat her immediately. He would also hover the entire time, making sure everything went right (and scaring/pressuring whichever doctor had the misfortune of being chosen for the job).

Since megatron raised Nova to be an formidable warrior to fight his war (father of the year megs 😒) does she have PTSD for experiencing combat in such a young age? Like, it must take a toll on you fighting a war as a child soldier, no?

Small disclaimer! I am not an expert in mental disorders (or even mental health) so I might get some things wrong.

Right so, I don't believe Supernova would develop PTSD, since that tends to stem from a single defining traumatic event. C-PTSD on the other hand, comes from prolonged repeated trauma, which could be more accurate on paper, but honestly she isn't quite suffering from it either. Yes, being a soldier in a seemingly never ending war is a horrifying, soul crushing existence, but Supernova is mostly just... desensitized to it all. She didn’t experience it the way someone who enters war as an adult does. For her, the violence, the loss, the constant threats to her life is just part of a normal Tuesday, it’s all she’s ever known.

That environment has absolutely left its marks, though. She has some habits what could be described as “symptoms”, but in reality they’re just part of who she is. For example, hyper vigilance, she’s constantly reading rooms, assessing threats, and is rarely ever fully relaxed not because something is wrong with her but because that's simply how she was taught she needed to exist. Or emotional numbness in certain “horrific” scenarios, it became a survival tool so early in life that it comes natural for her. Lastly, her detached professionalism with violence, that’s just her job, nothing more to it than that.

But all of that just feels like her, just her personality. And because everyone around her is going through the same thing, she has no reference point for what a different kind of childhood could have looked like, or what a normal civilian who hasn’t gone through horrible stuff should be like, so she thinks she’s normal. Well, in the environment she’s at, she is normal.
