Watching your tiny, assigned bot picking his way through the tall grass as he finds flowers. And you’re glad he’s taking his current circumstances so well. Especially when you’ve heard and seen a lot of the other Cybertronians throwing tantrums over being stuck knee high. Hearing the grass rustling as he comes back over to you, he holds out the flowers and you roll onto your side to take them. “Thank you.”

"Are you doing this to get the RUH-demption, Beachcomber?" Warpath had asked when he learned of Beachcomber's plans.

"Because, Zee-Wow, yuh don't need it! You Ker-Pow, don't need to feel guilt about being a pacifist during the war! You should Yuh-able to spend peacetime Com-MUNING with the natural world liked you hoped!" Warpath added.

"Now don't you go worrying about me, Warpath. If it all goes according to plan I'll be able to incoporate nature into my practice." Beachcomber reassured Warpath.

(Beachcomber was still quite confused on why Warpath equated his plans with seeking redemption of all thing though)

"Primus, you're nerdier than Perceptor getting another fragging super-credential after already having one!" Brawn had offered unsolicited.

(It was indeed a difficult and "nerdy" experience. Studying a so-called "soft" science still required hard effort.)

"Beachcomber, I'm very happy to see you find a post-war pupose when many other are floundering and I hope you all the sucess in the world." Optimus Prime was supportive.

(It was apperciated.)

"Ya know, Beachcomber, yer gonna end up having to talk a bunch of Decepticreeps if ya persue this here career 'cause they all real crazy!

Ya sure you still wanna pursue this line of work?' Ironhide cautioned.

(Ironhide was an elderly bot and quite naturally had some very-shall say outdated views on therapy)

"Well, I'm sure you'll be able to have a nice peaceful life as a therapist." Bumblebee offered reassuringly.

He was quite incorrect:

"I want you to know, I'm only here because the court mandated that I do so! I wish they at least had the decency to give me a flight frame therapist!" Starscream crossed his arms in frustration.

"Mr. Starscream, I feel it's fair to mention that they did. You then...angered him and the courts decided to turn you over to me, who was noted for his pacifism." Beachcomber knew then his new career was going to filled with battles thrice as hard as any he had as an Autobot.

He might be a pacifist, but he wasn't a coward! He'd have to try thrice as hard then.

Notes:

I seriously think Beachcomber should be a therapist in the next Transformer's canon.

Now this wouldn't have flown in the 1980's, but I think it could possibly be done and played straight in the 2020s.

I think it could really work if one used his Gen One characterization of being peaceful and pacifistic as a building block.

He could the ship's on board mental health professional who occasionally gets involved in battles if he really must.
