This might just be because I saw it while scrolling through my likes, but Nick and Jessā first kiss from New Girl is still...fucking goals, man. I guess the fact that I shipped them for ages before it happened helped, too lol.Ā

When I love a character or a ship, it usually happens at first sight. I make up my mind pretty quickly, and since shipping (to me) is based on this...unnamed thing that just exists between characters, I usually notice it the first time theyāre together, for example when I watched ATLA and Katara and Zuko interacted. My heart just went āTHIS IS ITā. (Though interestingly enough, I donāt think I immediately shipped Luca x Hotaru, that happened more gradually.)Ā
16. Talk about a ship you initially disliked
Dislike is a strong word. I donāt actively dislike a lot of ships (really only those that would āinfringeā upon my OTPs lol), and if I do dislike something, I usually never end up shipping it. I do however usually end up disliking something less and less over time until eventually my emotions re: a specific ship are largely neutral. I think nowadays Iām fine with Mikan x Natsume, whereas I used to skip everything that contained even an atom of that ship. Writing it myself helped, I suppose, since I can get rid of the stuff I dislike if Iām the one writing the dynamic.
18.Ā Talk about a moment which made you question an entire ship.
Spoilers for Bioshock Infinite: While playing that game, I lowkey shipped Elizabeth and Booker. It was an enjoyable dynamic, sheās really the onlyĀ āgoodā character you get to interact with, etc. But by the end of the game, you find out sheās your daughter, which made me switch fromĀ āI ship thisā toĀ āYeaaaah noā in an instant. I guess thatās a bit more than just questioning a ship, haha. Stil like it as a friendship / family relationship though! Also, every time Eric and Charles fight and hurt each other in Xmen I want to stop shipping them (THEY TREAT EACH OTHER LIKE CRAP SOMETIMES) but then I remember why those characters act the way they do and I just canāt let go. Iām stuck with those two idiots.Ā
20.Ā Talk about a ship you feel alone in shipping.
HOTARU X LUCA. A THOUSAND PEOPLE COULD SHIP IT AND IāD STILL FEEL ALONE. Plus, thereās people who write it in a way that makes me goĀ ā????? Are we talking about the same characters????ā which is difficult. Also, I ship Finn and Rey in Star Wars (THEYāRE SO WHOLESOME) and a lot of people would rather see Finn X Poe so Iām #conflicted because representation is great but I canāt help but love my two boos ya know?
23. Do you mostly ship canon pairings
Uh. Most of my het ships are canon (shocking!!!) and most of my non-het ships arenāt. But Iād say overall itās 50/50. Sometimes I get lucky, sometimes I donāt and if the fan support for that particular pairing is strong enough, it really doesnāt matter either way.

1. His Dark, Kind SoulĀ (Gakuen Alice) by November Romeo because I LOVE. IT. SO. MUCH. Probably the best GA world building in anything ever (and that includes the manga).Ā
2. Of Fortunes and FerretsĀ (Gakuen Alice) by November Romeo because it took me ages to find HxL fic I really loved and like everything this author ever wrote, this piece is perfect.Ā
3. The Shoebox ProjectĀ (Harry Potter) by Lady Jaida and Rave because itās honestly a fanfiction classic and one of the most believable approaches to the Marauders Era I have ever seen (plus the Remus X Sirius is wonderful!)
4. HitchupsĀ (How To Train Your Dragon) by The Antic Repartee because I fell in love with HTTYD but yearned for a bit more world building and more...mature themes, and this fantastic 300k fic offers both!!!! Hurray!!!
5. Notes Concerning Certain Performances of HamiltonĀ (Hamilton) by scioscribe because itās probably the best oneshot I have ever read as well as such an....amazing, philosophical and well thought-out idea. I re-read this regularly and cry every single time.Ā

....Itās the HxL fanmix I have on my phone. Yes I am vain and love my own fanmix but itās not like there are a lot of HxL fanmixes out there I could chose from :D
40.Ā If you could change one thing about your OTP, what would that be?
Iāve got dozens of OTPs but for HxL, the thing I would change is the amount of GA!universe fanfics about them. I wouldnāt even make them canon because Higuchi and I donāt always see eye to eye, characterization-wise. I also wish they were a tiny bit older.Ā
iāve seen a lot of people mentioning that they couldnāt trigger galeās romance either in the tags of my sets/art or in the general tags. i thought i would publish this short guide to help.Ā
in total, there are five steps you need to keep in mind. iāve tested this with two of my own characters, as well as with friends in multiplayer, and it does reliably trigger.
hereās the guide:
1.Ā first conversation at camp
- recruit galeĀ
- go to camp and do the first talk -> be sure to have your character selected before resting, if you accidentally selected gale or a different character before resting, the conversation will likely not not trigger.
- you can also do his player-intiated conversation at this point, it doesnāt matter which options you pick
- rest
2. mirror image scene
Ā - go to recruit lae -> it doesn't actually matter if you recruit her or not, if you save the tieflings or kill them
- go to the grove and do the fight between the goblins and aradinās party and the tieflings
- talk with zevlor and aradin -> again, it doesn't matter if you fail any checks or what you do, it's more about the steps than what options you pick
- talk with zevlor and accept to help or not -> gale can have a ! here if he's your only companion
- after this rest and you should get the mirror image sceneĀ
Ā 3. deer stew conversation
- save sazza, the goblin prisoner at the druid grove, by stepping in front of the crossbow and do gale's ! convo
- go to rest and you should get the deer stew convoĀ
Ā 4. weave scene
- help guex, the tiefling who doesn't know how to fight, at the grove
- go and talk to arabellaās parents after the cutscene -> you can accept to help them or not because, again, this is more about the steps rather than any particular option
- trigger kagha and arabella's scene
-> it does not matter whether you manage to save her or not
- talk to arabella's parents again to complete the quest
- if you rest, you should get the weave scene
-> if not, try to see if your approval is too high or too low. you can get the weave scene either on high or very high. if you are too high you can attack gale and you should loose approval with him.
-> also important: you can explore the ruins or another area than the grove and do a smaller quest in a different sector of the map (save mirkon, explore the ruins, explore the owlbear cave for example) if the weave scene hasnāt triggered. be sure to rest outside in a forest area. the weave scene doesn't seem to trigger at other camp environments.
- if youāve triggered the weave scene, you are free to explore the game as you see fit
5. loss scene
- loss scene should happen naturally after that, donāt worry about it too much
- try to explore the map and rest after big fights
