I’m grateful for this meal. We were one of the fortunate ones with power and water during this Texas storm. We only lacked internet and cell phone signal. I was able to go to the store and grab whatever meat was left which was pork chops and a family package of steaks. update w/ hurricane harvey: it has finally left and is moving towards louisiana. i’m so blessed that my home is safe, my family is safe and my animals are safe. the water never got into our house. we never had to evacuate. i’m very thankful. ready for some normalcy (or as normal as it’s gonna get). i cried earlier seeing all the damage on facebook and seeing so many who are affected. 2 of my uncles lost their homes to water. thankfully one has flood insurance but the other does not. if you can, please donate to texas to help us all out! even if it’s a dollar, please. animals and humans alike need so much help right now.
