Idk if I sent this or something similar... but, Alternate Texas Raised in deluxe. It’s unsettling to think about but like... the concept interests me. So does a burner squad raised in Motorcity. Idk why it’s interesting to me. Or even a “Texas is stuck and has to pretend to be from deluxe” thing would have been neat to see.
I feel like the best-case scenario of this involves Texas pulling a Mike and realizing pretty fast “this place sucks I’m OUT” and the worst-case scenario involves the propaganda doing its job and him being presumably a pretty kick-ass KaneCo security officer. If he was convinced from early on that Deluxe was in the right, I could see him applying that impressive imagination to vilifying Motorcity, and in turn being a massive pain in the Burners’ collective asses. QuQ
I mean, silver lining: LOTS of enemies-to-friendly-enemies-to-unlikely-allies-to-Texas-defecting potential there, haha. We got a pretty good template in the Robo Round-Up of Texas thinking of a whole group in primary colors and generalizations, and it doesn’t seem to take a lot more than like a couple examples of individuals that don’t fit his paradigm to make him go “oh no wait lol that was bullshit”. Although a passive concept of bots as just objects is a little different from indoctrinated hate of a whole group of humans, I guess........
IDK but there’s definitely some story potential in there, haha! I don’t know that I have the energy to write it but it would be pretty neat to write and figure out as I went. :D
