cables (& faux cables) on a recent test knit
Tried on my WIP and I love it!! Was getting unsure about the light brown but now I've actually tried it on I'm very happy with the results and excited to continue with the rest of the body! I really like the soft natural vibe of this combo, and the richness of the green.
I might see if I can do some decreasing at the end of the body before the ribbing to get my preferred shape to make it absolutely perfect.

Hello DC Comics fans and knitters!
I am looking for test knitters for a sock pattern inspired by Red Hood and Nightwing! If you are interested please fill out this application by January 17, 2026!
If you are selected you will have 3 months to finish the pattern (one pair of socks), comment access to the pattern itself to provide feedback throughout the process, access to this pattern and the gift of an additional knitting pattern, and credit in the final published version of the pattern.
This is a cuff-down sock pattern featuring stranded colorwork, and a short row heel. While socks and colorwork are often considered more advanced knitting techniques, I have written the pattern in what I hope is a beginner friendly way and encourage kntiters of all skill levels to apply!

This project has had it's share of problems. First time I've missed a testing deadline. The yarn was slow in arriving while the 4-week deadline came too quickly. Then I realized that I'd run out of yarn long before finishing, and my supplier (and their distributor) had 0 left. Bailed out, thankfully, by a member of Ravelry. 🙏 The additional cake is in this pic. Can you tell it's a different dye lot? (Just say No!)
Frustrated? A bit. Discouraged? Not at all. Still loving working on this & loving the results.
