And cursed emotions that had invaded

Before, through thy mind, Ah properly waded

And impulsive thoughts could be evaded —

Yet now thou're faded

For better or for worse,

As much as 'twas belated

And mið neither party aspersed.

Ac be it soothly fated?

Is this a curse lifted,

Eyes opened?

Or merely a spark that's dated, shifted?
