Did you know: turtles shed the scales that grow on their shells as new ones grow from underneath. They're called scutes.
The diamondback terrapin at my park is shedding hers right now. You can see the old ones peeling and the newer ones underneath. She didn't seem to want me to take a picture of them.
First drafts for Bee!Kagami and Turtle!Luka
You have no idea how hard the Bee!Kagami was to design… I’m still not 100% satisfied with it.
I thought it would be funny if Kagami’s bee hero name was a real Japanese name just like Ryuko is. Hachimitsu means honey bee so it was perfect.
Turtle!Luka (or Terrapin as I decided to call him) was actually a surprisingly easy design. I’ll probably just tweak a couple of things here and there.

Terrapin and Miss Terra
Y’all know I had to draw these two together as soon as I saw someone else made such a killer Turtle Marinette! So here’s my girl with @coraljd-art’s girl—Terrapin. I love her design so much, she just has so much energy and looks so ready to beat stuff up in, like, the most fun way. :)
Also sorry I haven’t posted anything in ages. College is a lot more work than I remember it being. Anyways, hope you guys like the art!
