Teppei loved to sleep in.
He got so few opportunities in his life between his work and previous life in the military. You had to be up early if you wanted to catch the bad guys. Since he had been working non-stop for a while now, Teppei was give a bit of a break with a long weekend as his reward. And the first thing he wanted to do was sleep in.
He turned over as the sun was coming into the room fully. Not up with it, but still just the type of person who couldn’t lay in bed if the sun was out (no matter how much he wanted to). Teppei turned over to look at the clock to see what time it actually was, but got distracted with [Y/N] there.
Working so much they hadn’t been able to see each other often. Quick visits or one-night sleep overs before Teppei was off to some remote place again. He was thankful every day that she hadn’t gotten fed up with him yet.
Teppei reached up to brush her cheek with his hand. [Y/N] coiled into his touch. Shifting a little under the blankets before opening her eyes. “Good morning.”
“Good morning.” Teppei replied back. Deciding that hearing her tell him ‘good morning’ was the greatest sound in the world.
“I don’t know.” He’d completely forgotten to look at the clock at this point. “Still kinda early I think.”
[Y/N] yawned and stretched, before falling back against the bed. “So, what do you want to do today?”
“I don’t know.” Apparently he didn’t know a lot of things this morning. It had been so long since his day hadn’t been decided for him that Teppei wasn’t sure what he wanted to do. But he could think of one thing he wanted to do right now.
He leaned forward and kissed [Y/N]. The kissing progresses naturally into sex. The slow, passionate, love making kind of sex that Teppei missed. When they have had sex the past few months it had to be rushed. He had a plane to catch, or get up early in the morning, or she couldn’t stay the night for some reason. Now, they had all the time in the world. And Teppei decided that her moans were the greatest sound in the world, with ‘good morning’ being a close second.
After they are done, they even have time to cuddle, before they eventually get in the shower. Despite all the free time, the two of them shower together. Kissing, touching, laughing, teasing. Her water bill was going to be awful this month.
Once they were finished Teppei went to get dressed, in casual clothes for once, and came into the kitchen to find [Y/N] & breakfast waiting for him. Just a quick meal of coffee and egg toast, but he thought he might cry it all looked so good.
“So, what do you want to do today?”
[Y/N] repeated the question, but Teppei knew just as much before as he did not. Which was nothing. “We could go to the park?” He offered. “I thought about going for a run later.” It had been a long time since he had run on anything that wasn’t a treadmill. Inside. Suffocating. “See a movie?”
“That sounds great.” [Y/N] replied as they sipped their coffee.
“Anything you want to do today?” He then asked.
“I’m already doing it.” She told him. “I’m spending the day with you.”
Teppei grinned like an idiot as she came around to kiss his cheek. “Let me go get dressed and we’ll head out.”
“I’ll get the dishes.” It only seemed fair.
As he was getting dishpan hands in her sink, Teppei thought about how wonderful all of this was. Domestic. Together. He wished this could be all the time, but the looming threat of his job would start to creep back into the picture. For now, he tried to squash it. Focusing on the now and this little slice of domestic paradise he had for a vacation.
