This took a long time for two reasons. First, I'm not terribly fast at drawing vehicles. Second, I had to wait for my new computer to arrive before I could finish it!
I absolutely adore how ATLA deals with disabilities.
I know we all love to talk about how great of a disability rep Toph is, but we should really be talking more about Teo (the boy in a wheelchair the gaang meets in the Northern Air Temple)
Teo, just like Toph, has his disability be both something that hinders him in some way, but also something that gives him an advantage/ different view on some points - in Teo's case, him being the only one with "an airbender spirit".
But there's something that Teo has that Toph doesn't, and that is a properly supportive father.
Teo has a dad who went above and beyond to give him not a "cure", but accommodations, which was what he truly needed. There's nothing wrong with the fact that he can't walk, nothing to be "cured". No one even brings up the possibility of him walking again, no one asks about it because it was not relevant at all. He is disabled and has proper accommodations and a great support system, and a very good life!
Teo is such an amazing disability rep because the fact that he needs mobility aids is not viewed as an inconvenience or a bother - his dad, and literally everyone around him, are more than willing to accommodate his needs, it's not even a question. And that's how it should be for every disability, in and out of fiction.

if katara and aang hadn’t kissed in the series finale, aang woulda dated teo and started the first attempts at building out an air acolyte commune to help revive the culture with nonbenders, while katara finally dated haru. i give it three years before they both break up with their partners and run crying back to each other bc they love each other so much. and the exes WOULD get invited to the wedding, cuz teo and haru aren’t stupid and probably knew from the jump that they were on borrowed time with aang and katara. literally the whole world knows they’re inevitable, but i just think it would be so funny if teoaang and harutara went out on double dates, and all you saw were aang and katara stewing in their feefees. most annoying ass teenagers you ever did meet, and both were bending masters 😂
Extremely important head canon I thought of a few days ago: in the aftermath of the war, Aang makes Teo the head Air Acolyte at the Northern Air Temple, bc he has the spirit of an Airbender and cares about the temple's origins. I am a genius for this this is canon to me now
I like the idea of haroph, haru x toph. I like the idea of toph starting off as haru’s teacher, and then it slowly blossoming into something more after that. I also like teoph, teo x toph because they’re both disabled. 😏
