the thing you have to understand about tenzou (introduced as yamato) is that his debut in the series is that of a guy raised from babyhood to be a cia black ops agent having a new assignment and fhe major part of that assignment is to pretend to be a real, normal person for a while. and he is actually fairly okay at posing as a real normal person bc the only hints we as an audience get that he is in this position at first come from his friend from cia kindergarten referencing their mutual experiences in cia kindergarten. but what i’m getting at here is that there must have been moments where the new Normal Guy facade broke and that must have been very strange to the people around him
