As usual for the last day, I spent the day doing nothing, partly killing time, partly wondering about. In the last 5 days spent in a quiet town, perhaps I have learned from the locals to slow down and pay more attention to the surroundings. As they say, no rushing in Africa... In doing so, I have made more meaningful encounters with the fellow travelers: Gillian, Quentin, Sayed and Sara, whom I hope to meet in the near future.. It was only a few days ago, I was dying to get out, but as comes time to leave, I got a weird feeling that I'm going to miss this place. Not that I will want to come back anytime soon. A country with dark history, with the scent of colonialism still remaining, economic turmoils worse than ever, will people here ever see the brighter future during their lifetime? Getting ready for a hike! Girl Guide camp is always fun. It's a lot of preparation and a lot of worrying - especially camping in tents when it is -4 Celsius at night! We have a lot of girls who have never camped before and they are doing so well!
