The machine’s swimming in the goddamn fountain, again.
But hey, V1′s coin haul is going surprisingly decent today. It seemed some local patrons to this Golden Ward arcade had heard the absurd story about a funny-looking robot fishing in nearby public fountains for coins, and had tossed some more tokens in accordingly. The machine itself had no clue about the rumors.    It had waited a day before being escorted away from the premises, and then it had waited a week—tactically deciding to try again when the arcade staff were at their busiest. Behold, Golden: the complex decision-making of a war machine.
The process was disturbed not by ticked-off staff, but by a gaggle of crying snot-faced kids rushing out of the arcade doors. Through their babbling, V1 understood that they were collectively heartbroken over something that happened inside. It was something about not getting what they wanted?
Cue Travis Touchdown ( @tenhoursofgamingaday ), exiting the arcade with a giant, rounded cartoon cat plush.
It looked like he had to carry the stuffed prize with both hands—it was a marvel he had squeezed it out of the door. Upon his entrance, a new chorus of sobs erupted from the group of kids, which was really annoying to have to work through.    Sick of it, V1 flicked a wet arcade token up in the air, then punched it, sending the coin right into the vulnerable weak-spot belly of the cat plush. It bounced off, the sight and sound of the coin hitting the ground shocking the kids into a sudden silence. Good. Now V1 could get back to—
Then the kids began to laugh, real hard.
V1 blankly stared at Travis.
