This Slow Cooker Root Beer Pulled Pork Sandwich is tender, flavorful, and incredibly easy to make. The combination of root beer, barbecue sauce, and spices creates a mouthwatering sauce that perfectly coats the tender pork.
Ingredients: 3 lbs pork shoulder, trimmed of excess fat. 1 cup root beer. 1 cup barbecue sauce. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon onion powder. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. 8 sandwich buns.
Instructions: Put the pork shoulder in the crock pot. Beer, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper should all be mixed together in a bowl. Cover the pork shoulder with the sauce mix. Put the lid on top and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours, until the pork is soft and can be shred with a fork. Take the pork out of the slow cooker when it's done cooking and shred it with two forks. Put the pork back into the slow cooker and mix it with the sauce. Put some pulled pork on each of the split sandwich buns. Enjoy while hot!
