Mình ham chơi, quảng giao, dạo gần đây lại hay bị đồng nghiệp mời nhậu nhẹt... Lần nào đi uống cũng say khướt không biết trời đất gì, sáng hôm sau tình dậy chả thể nhớ nổi sao về được đến nhà. Bố mẹ phiền lòng nhiều nhắc nhở mình nhiều lắm. Có hôm sáng dậy thấy bố ngủ trong phòng, bảo sợ mình say quá bị cảm.. Bố mẹ cũng từng nói nếu đi làm ở đây mà phải uống rượu bia nhiều thế, thì nghỉ đi, tìm việc khác mà làm, chứ uống vào như thế, có chuyện gì bố mẹ không sống được. Nhưng mình cứ bỏ ngoài tai... lần khác lại lần khác vẫn đi uống rồi về với trạng thái say xỉn. Hôm trước lại bị gọi đi nhậu, và kết quả vẫn như mọi lần... Mẹ nhìn thấy mình như vậy, chợt khóc, bố thì chỉ thở dài không buồn nói gì nữa. Giọt nước mắt của mẹ làm mình tỉnh ngộ, mình chợt nhận ra mình quá vô tâm với những lo lắng của bố mẹ và cảm thấy hối hận vô cùng. In a story that could only be crafted by writers from either MGM or for Bill Stern, comes this tall tale heard by radio listeners of 'The Colgate Sports Newsreel' on May 24, 1946. There is much build up to this special guest with a big reveal as Bill Stern dramatically tells the story of a writer who went into sports—race car driving. "This writer wanted to race automobiles, finally this writer gave up writing and bought a racing car. One night this driver was doing 90 miles per hour, hit an oil patch and smashed into a conrete wall! The news reels of the crash couldn't be shown because of the horrific scene! One newsreel executive who saw the reels was so impressed with that driver that he decided this driver be given a screen test. As a result of this screen test this driver was given a movie contract! That driver was a GIRL, who thanks to that newsreel of a racing accident—is today one of Hollywood's most famous stars! You know her as Lucille Ball!" Lucille was then introduced, went along with the farcical introduction, said that she was told she'd never walk again as a result of that accident and plugged her new movie, 'Easy to Wed'. This coming from the same show that announced to its listeners that Thomas Edison's "deafness was the result of a pitched ball that hit him in the head when he was a semi-pro ballplayer (which he never was) ...the pitcher who threw that ball, was Jesse James."
