Okay so, people who come up with Crossovers between Project Hail Mary and Star Trek often go with the idea of Vulcans and Eridians being neighbours.

While such a thing is cool I think another neat approach to the crossover is that you replace the Vulcans with the Eridians, and then make it so the other two Founding Races of the Federation A: sent ships to Tau Ceti which linked up with Grace and Rocky (timing on that one is going to be tight) and B: were very different from their canon depictions due to "letting Speculative Biology take the wheel.".

By way of an example here's my take on the "Andorians" of the setting which I'm calling the Procyans.

Procyans much like their inspiration are the natives of an Ice Moon orbiting a Gas Giant. however where they diverge is in their home environment. Ysee, Procyans are fully Aquatic, evolving in the ocean that existed under the ice crust of their homeworld.

Procyans have a degree of light-based vision (limited to blues and greens) that they supplement with an array of electroreceptive organs. They uses these organs in conjunction with a set of dedicated electric organs to manipulate their surroundings namely colonies of bacteria.

Procyans also resemble Ceteaceans from Earth, though that's more a covergence of body plan than genetics...also due to the differences in water pressure and temperature between Procyon plopping a Procyan into Earths Ocean would boil them to death.

Like the Eridians they overpacked on Astrophage when making their ship, but in their case it was because they judged relativity based on the speed of light underwater. Unlike the Eridians they didn't lose the majority of their crew to radiation poisoning. Instead all but one of the hibernation chambers they made for the journey failed on them.

R'aahs has decidedly strong opinions on different kinds of weaponry and the best ways to maintain them! He only got to start actually using it at all once he was older and had started to take on jobs off-planet, so he used to sort of jump at the chance to use anything other than brute force, but after getting experience and developing techniques beyond just imitating what he'd seen he became a bit of an aficionado and loves to talk about them and show them off!

Well not exactly shocking, but it's with mostly with Ceicive <3 (and sometimes with a few friends) He's usually just so guarded most of the time, so getting a chance to sort of feel comfortable enough to take up space also comes with him very clearly caring about people, and it definitely shows in (sweet) huffly little comments and gruff little gestures that belay the deepest affections <3

He actually has some pretty strong views on architecture and construction! (moreso Ferengi specific designs and materials, but he has some opinions on other types as well).

Mostly it's from what used to would cause him problems or present unique angles for camera visuals or hiding places for sensors back in his old job, so not really anything aesthetic or anything, but he picked up a lot of historical and artistic knowledge in regards to it just in practical context.

Ch'ayna7 - What would their ideal self look like and what is preventing them from achieving that ideal version of themselves?

Agh. That would be because there's kind of two ideal versions of her and they're sort of at odds with each other.

One of them is kind of like she is now but on a higher pedestal. Vastly traveled and learned, famous and adored by the academic community. The other is everything her ancestors knew without question; traditions, generations of family, luxurious homes filled with art and heirlooms, and no need to travel longer than a few weeks across the sea before coming home to safety.

She does her best to join the two as much as she can, and hopes that they'll perhaps coalesce somewhat once her children are old enough to safely join her aboard the Omelas, but she's honestly quietly at odds with herself at times despite making her choices with pride and confidence despite some of her family's objections.

Lukoroh: 10- What would make them lose respect for someone

Tbh I think respect is a sort of continually mirrored idea to him most of the time to him of a profound shining admiration and and a more curious but emotionally neutral stance overall, he just has a unique degree of more standing respect for a handful of people like professor Ch'ayna.

For a true shattering of his respect I think it would have to be something really bad. A clearcut cruelty done to someone very kind for the sheer purpose of causing suffering with nothing even to be learnt or gained through it.

(Or shit talking/trying to hurt the people he cares for most deeply. He has a pretty deep beef with some than a few academics who took a needless aggressive stance against Prof. Ch'ayna's findings and papers).
