I guess I forgot to post this but - last year I made a bunch of star trek OCs ! They're a group of friends who all serve abord the USS T'Sera during the late TNG era. I just really wanted to design a friend group made up of the four original federation founding members lol

Here's some info about them :
Khov is a xenobiologist. Quite the Andorian history nerd, he won't shut up about the Ch'eraotherh Dynasty (his Roman Empire).
His naturally emotional disposition as an Andorian especially expresses itself when he's nervous or under some pressure, making him seem jumpy or easily panicked. But he's as capable of doing his job and performing under pressure as any other Starfleet officer - externalizing his emotions is just the way he regulates and keeps a cool head.
He's usually well spoken and witty (you need to when you're friends with Rog and Ketis) but when it comes to romantic encounters he easily gets flustered. He has a (not-so) secret crush on the chief of security of the T'Sera, which he is very embarrassed about
Nadia is a relief helmsman. She's very eager and optimistic, and motivated to move up in the ranks. She loves piloting and daydreams about saving the whole ship with her prowess at the helm (and maybe even have a maneuver named after her, why not !)
She's a space native, her parents worked on a deep-space cargo freighter.
She often appears chill and the "reasonable middle ground" in her friend's heated debates (which they call "human mediator syndrome").
She also loves discussing couple gossip and gives a lot of romantic advice despite never having been in a romantic relationship herself (she's probably aroace but hasn't really thought about it)
Rog is a security officer. He first met Ketis on his arrival day during his medical checkup - during which he got into one of the most fun arguments in his life, and they've been best friends since then.
He values honesty and despises bootlickers and people pleasers. In that he counts those who try to start an argument with him as a pleasing tactic - he wants his debates to be genuine, thank you very much !
He's also a bit of an order and cleanliness freak.
His job at security made him very observant and perceptive . He's also capable of functioning on very little sleep.
Ketis a medical technician. He genuinely enjoys his friend group of varied emotional species, he finds it stimulating and an intellectual challenge (as well as a test of his emotional repression). He also finds their reasoning and points of view interesting and is always taking them into consideration. All this makes him pretty critical of some vulcans' arrogance and sense of superiority over other species, which he considers an to be an emotional response.
He particularly likes debating and can hold a friendly argument tirelessly, which is always good when being friends with a Tellarite.
He suffers from motion/space sickness, which is rare for a vulcan - and especially for a vulcan in starfleet. He sort of became infamous for it on the ship after an incident where he threw up on the Captain (who he was taking care of in sickbay during a red alert). Good thing he's purely logical because that'd be really embarrassing !
I think instead of a first officer, a Tellarite captain should employ someone whose sole purpose is to push back against everything they say and lowkey try to start a mutiny. Mutinies are non-violent, at regular intervals there is always a ship wide debate and vote and if you're voted out you leave and the other person becomes captain and employs someone else to fill their old position. Crucially, this doesn't lead to a more disorganized ship. It's to be expected. Though that does mean most Tellarite captains have been the captain of more ships than other species.
People who've captain'd one ship for a number of years are considered incredibly skilled and are venerated for their ability to defend their position for so long.
We really need to have a discussion about toxic positivity and how being nice and polite isn't always the best way to treat people. Your tellarite crewmember needs you to argue with them. It's enrichment. You need to know how to tell them to their face that their analysis of a situation looks like it was thrown together by a drunken targ or they won't be healthy.

I'm really pleased with the Andorian panel - everything turned out just right, I think!
Working with the limited expressions of Andorians is definitely a challenge at times, because it feels like I'm relying on a lot of body language and antennae cues to convey what the other characters can convey through comparatively simple facial expressions. Still, I think I did alright here!
As for the Vulcan panel... somehow, Soval's assistant (originally intended to be Rekan from Deck the Halls (And Not The Vulcans)) turned into Sarek, so I guess that's happening now.
And onto the Tellarite panel! As much as I like how the Andorian panel turned out, I can't help but love Ambassador Gral in this panel just a little bit more. He was a lot of fun to draw!

(I choose to believe that Archer moved a decimal point two places over in a stalled trade agreement and waited to see how long it would take them all to notice. At least they're all talking again!)

Retroactively decided my flopstar Ferengi Slenk did not start out solo but as apart of the first act of its kind, a multi-species boyband! They were quite the sensation, for a time. But that time has long since passed. One may wonder what ever became of the Alpha Boyz...

Mint Intox
He's smart, he's kind, he sounds inexplicably German, and he's the chief medical officer aboard the USS Albright, it's Dr. Intox!
Mint loves to feel love of all kinds, it's why he started out performing; the powerful joy that comes from a crowd is a euphoric sensation for a Betazoid. So euphoric, in fact, it can become as addictive as a chemical substance, which is what nearly happened to Mint. He will speak candidly of how the band's living conditions were poor and how their manager Gitz kept them isolated from friends and family and overworked them; applause became Mint's only reprieve.
Once Gitz disbanded the group, citing disappointing sales, Mint immediately applied to Starfleet, wanting to get away from the music business and desiring a more productive outlet for his people pleasing personality. He hasn't looked back since (well maybe once or twice, a man can be nostalgic can't he?).
Officers of a certain age known of his heartthrob past and love to tease him about it. Mint doesn't mind, he holds no shame in what he believes was an important formative experience, but he draws the line at being told their music was bad. He sung his heart out on those tracks! You all behave!
Thelo ch'Lazulite
Possibly the most Ferengi-like Andorian to ever live, Thelo has always been chasing wealth. He was less interested in the performing part of their act and more interested in inventing new marketing tactics to net the group more money (Gitz will say his biggest regret was not taking Thelo on as his protégé). He couldn't hold a note to save his life but at least he was pretty!
Currently, he's the owner of one of the most ubiquitous fast food chains in the galaxy, Deep Freeze (if you love ice cream and burgers sold at slightly too expensive prices, this place is for you).
Thelo is a very guarded person, rarely ever making public appearances and little is known about his private life or his past. Does he have something nefarious to hide? Or does he simply not like being hounded by the press and the public? No one knows, not even his ex-band mates, as he wasn't close with them. Quite the enigma, that Thelo...
Pirogg (Piroggie) Porcus
Nobody's favorite and seemingly drawn to failure, life's been rough for dearest Piroggie. After the band split, he briefly worked as a soloist, but found little success on his home world ("they just weren't ready for his fusion of slop jazz and electro pop", something Pirogg will claim to anyone unprompted).
Despite his lacking charisma, he managed to marry a powerful politician and sire a son with her, but they divorced when he proved to be an inattentive father and unfaithful husband. ("those Orion women are sirens!", something else Pirogg will whine about to anyone in earshot).
You can find Pirogg these days either working down by the docks near one of Tellar Prime's seas or playing the sizzle horn at one of the many slop jazz clubs scattered across the western region. Please throw him a bone if you visit, he needs the money for child support.
Takyon, Son of Kahgal
Staggeringly tall, boundless energy and lacking volume control (yes even for a Klingon), opera star and flamboyant warrior Takyon always makes an impression!
By far the most popular member during the band's tenure, Takyon has had little trouble keeping busy. He's the face of modern Klingon opera and as such, he makes for a great ambassador to other worlds. He's charmed many a high ranking official with his colorfully-told tales of battle and love and tragedy.
While no slouch in the art of battle, he's not considered the greatest warrior to ever grace this mortal coil (formidable, full of heart but his technique is sloppy, as many would put it). Some Klingons will tell you his Lieutenant status was gifted rather than earned, but that is only rumor. What isn't rumor is his status as a phenomenal and passionate lover, something his wife will boast about to anyone listening. And he's a cool if kinda cringe father, something his teenage children will begrudgingly admit.
