The Bible mentions Be'er Sheva multiple times because Abraham settled here after his wanderings in the desert & his children & grandchildren lived here. Abraham, Issac & Jacob, the Patriarchs of the faith called Beersheba home.
It was here within these gates that Abraham made a covenant with the King of Beersheba, allowing Abraham & his sons, the Patriarchs to live in Beersheba & make it their home. Within these gates, all the city business was discussed & completed.
The Bible says Abraham had a dispute about a well at Beersheba & this ancient well was discovered here. Abraham made a covenant with Abimelek concerning this well & made peace, & this could be the well! Genesis 21:22-32
The ancient Canaanite city of Beersheba, Israel became the abode of Abraham, Issac & Jacob, the patriarchs of the Bible. Beersheba or Be'er Sheva as it’s known, is mentioned multiple times in the Holy Scripture because Abraham made peace with its king.

After wandering through the deserts, Abraham & his children lived in Beersheba & made a covenant with the king. This was Abraham’s hometown where he pondered the call & destiny that God had for his descendants, the people of Israel.
Then Abraham… set off together for Beersheba & Abraham stayed in Beersheba(Genesis 22:19). Beersheba is sacred in the Bible, as the home of Abraham & Issac & Jacob, where Abraham rested from his wanderings in the land of Canaan.
The four horned altar is mentioned many times in Scripture & in an incredible archeological discovery, a four horned altar was discovered here at Beersheba, perhaps the one that Abraham himself saw! The original is in the Israel Museum which we also studied. Exodus 27:2
