Hi there everyone!
Just want to let you all know that you are awesome...and much, much appreciated for all your hard work, love, dedication, late nights, scratched heads, and passion.
Before I leave HK, I'd love to encourage you to make it out to Worship Central - it's especially practical for worship teams. For folks who do what we do, it's an event like no other.
It will make you wonder where we as a church and as a team will be in the next few years - and it will challenge, inspire, and equip us to be and do what God wants us to be and do at FCC.
There is stuff for sound technicians, musicians, vocalists, worship leaders, and people in production (that is, PowerPoint - and even lights!).
This is my last time joining Worship Central with you all, so if you can make it out, please do - and lets sit together! I should be relatively free that night, so this is our chance...OUR TIME...to sit together and enjoy a little basking in worship :)
I would especially encourage you newcomers and young folks on our worship team to join. One of the speakers (Martin Smith) has literally written the songs that have defined the global church over the last decade. This is a rare chance to be face to face with the greats (who are also hilarious and humble).
Be prepared for music that is a little loud, but also beautiful and masterfully well-crafted. Sit near the back if you like it quiet; get to the front if you want to jump around. Check out this video to get a feel for the conference.
I so deeply appreciate you all and am moved when I think about how God is raising up new people at FCC with a new spirit - one that gives rather than consumes; one that is humble, learning, willing to fail, and yet willing to step forward. In Tehilla I see the best of FCC - a new spirit, a humble boldness, a childlike trust.
I do believe that God is in our midst.
And I'd love to have you all out at the conference together for one big hurrah :) We can sit together at the main events, split up for workshops, eat together...it will be a good time. As for the schedule, there's a big celebration meeting on Friday night, and then nuts, bolts, practical stuff and celebrations on Saturday. So if you can only make it for one day, pick Saturday as a priority. As in most conferences, the last session is usually the most impactful.
Let me know if you can come. Book online at worshipcentral.org and there are some details / videos at fccblog.tumblr.com.
Cheers everyone :)
