If you try and ask anyone about this character, they would all say, “You can’t explain it in one word.” When it comes to playing Izanami, one should think to be “a being who does not project anyone’s image, but one who can reflect anyone’s image,” you see. For example, if the Izanami that A-kun imagines and the Izanami that B-kun thinks of are completely different, I think the question that would normally arise is, “Which one is correct?” But as far as Izanami is concerned, I don't think there is an answer. Of course I'm studying about this character’s position and role in the work, but I myself, who plays the role, wonder, “In the end, what is Izanami?” “What kind of person is Izanami?” and it’s with this mysterious aspect, I believe, is what makes Izanami unique. On stage, this exact feeling is what I want everyone to see and what I want to convey.

okok so it's dojima and adachi at the pub with dojima already a bit woozy and adachi sober for the sake of keeping his boss in check and we get some mamasan interaction!! (mama-san is what you call the lady bartender at the pub)
anywho, dojima's complaining about naoto being 'prodigy detective' and 'the kubo kid' and almost smacking the soul out of adachi's body while adachi responds like a good subordinate listening to his boss' drunken complaining
it's concerning to know that he made his own cup (mug?) overflow with adachi's concerning 'dojimasan--stop, stop!' and even reminding him about...nanako
keeping him together with the thought of his daughter and hes like 'nanako....' while adachi gets a call about how dojima's doing and while acting in disbelief that his boss going off again when accused and he gets hung up on and he just finds dojima asleep and. yeah.
look, i also forget adachi and dojima's dynamic whether adachi's genuine or not, dojima is right to be grateful for his company woww a pair of besties if i see one

then a loony cartoon sfx and we're into naoto's pov flashback where they kept running into the IT and accidentally scaring each other starting from yukiko banging on the piano and laughing, being the first one to scare chie and teddie,
and ultimately running away to be where marie is after they split up to find yukiko. from how naoto perceived it, she recites her poem rather,.,.,.,ghoulishly and finally they drop dead on the spot, which was the thump marie heard

Inaba is a city and may be bigger than what you think
Despite complaining about it so much, I have to reel myself back in that you can't ever translate one language so perfectly into another with its context in tact.
I was all in for trying to confirm that Namatame is former Inaba City Council but I just get a little mad at how even translators forget settlement hierarchy, or that I don't understand English and how confusing it is in and of itself.
Yasoinaba is a city when first introduced and written in text (元稲羽市). Citizens even shortening it to "Inaba" city (稲羽市). Though multiple times have they mentioned 町 (machi) which can be interpreted as "town" or simply an area with a small population like "neighborhood" or "block."
Though being described as "the hicks," or even "boonies," you can't exactly call it a "country town" since it's...a city. It would more accurately be described to be more rural than most cities. A literal backwater city to the point it'll be called the boonies. Though I can't cite it at the moment, it's due to the majority of the population being elders declining the rate of modernization.
Along with other terms used, though 都会 (tokai) means “the city”, as opposed to 田舎 (inaka) “the countryside,” it's a more generic term referring to a large urban area or metropolis. Just like when somewhere in Inaba was described with 田舎町 (inakamachi).
Also, I am implying that the Namatame residence is somewhere near the shopping district considering the fact you can easily find Namatame there. And mentioning again that his "hometown" is actually “the neighborhood where my parents’ home is (僕の実家のあるこの町でだ).”
It baffles me that some people think that Inaba really is a small sleepy town,.,..,..,You've got Junes! A whole supermarket!
The anime even showcases multiple streets and highways (though with short buildings and rather barren in most shots, to admit) while the opening featured Yamanashi itself (the city Inaba was based off of).
Though I suppose it is understandable to think it's tiny because of where the game allows you to go. And the fact the game even showed a whole rice field....huh. Even in multiple media (citation: adachi's insufferable whining) it was mentioned it's hard to get around Inaba in the first place. The map is said to be hard to read with many roads being too narrow to even show up in print at all. And if you're not a local, even asking for directions would be confusing.
I also dont want to talk about how weird the game's overworld map is and ive spilled too many braincells over this already
ok heres the attendant overworld npc dialogue i keep talking about it , personally translated by yours truly bc i don't think the eng loc holds up their casual tone also I decide the speech pattern and quirks now
