We went out to run first thing this morning, unsure if plan B would work, but the bike stayed locked into 4th gear as we hoped. We were able to complete a full run! The exit speed was over 119mph and I wasn’t even tucked into racing position. The bike finally ran the way I hoped. We are back at the pits to do jetting and gearing and getting back on the line. Welp Tyler’s bike may have had connecting rod bearing go bad. Tyler’s gonna pack it up for the week and dig into the motor when we get home... That’s racing, that’s Bonneville. After 5 frustrating days of transmission issues we finally started racing yesterday morning. Increasing speed almost every run, except for a few issues with an electrical switch and a low fuel issues but managed to push the second run to 124.99 just short of my 125 competition license. We did one more final run, they actually close the course right after I pulled in to line, and I was able to do 125.658 mph getting me my license! If not for the lost time I feel like I could’ve gone much faster. Kyle hit 121.678mph on his first run of the day today... Waiting in line for our next pass which will probably be the last one of the week. We went up a jet size and checked over he bike, everything is ready to rock-n-roll.
