I consider 1/2/18 as my ‘anniversary’. 2 years ago, i had a major seizure which landed me in the ICU for 3 days.. there i found out i had a rare brain condition i was born with, (cerebral arteriovenous malformation/AVM) 🧠 . Since that moment, I’ve faced every single day with the uncertainty of dying from a stroke, brain bleed, aneurism, seizure, or the AVM bursting... it’s like having a ticking time bomb 💣 in your head. so for the last 2 years i had to accept death if it happened, & i realize just how limited time is... I’ve been through 5 brain surgeries since my diagnoses, & I’m just blessed to be here. The last 2 surgeries i had in November 2019 are supposed to be the end of this chapter hopefully, but I’m reminded I’m a miracle regardless.... & even if things never return back to ‘normal’ fully, I’m glad to say i made it through hell & back🙏🏾💚🤘🏾.. I’m touched that my story and transparency has helped so many others. I never ever thought i would’ve had the strength to get through everything i have these last 2 years, but God is a keeper. Anything I’ve lost, i didn’t need, & all the lessons I’ve gained will help me in this next chapter. Hey #TeamGrizzy 🍀💚. Today i go in for my 4th & final brain surgery. I’m celebrating my ‘anniversary’ today ..💚🙏🏾 a year ago, January2nd, i woke up in the ICU to hear i had a brain condition .. i found out i was born with an arteriovenous malformation (#AVM) in my brain .. this last year has been one of the HARDEST, I’ve ever had to face. I’ve been tested mentally, spiritually, physically .. everything changed. I’ve lost so many ‘friends’, lost money, & seen so many doctors i barely Can keep up...just simply fighting to live... I started out last year, 2018, feeling defeated, crying my eyes out, feeling sorry for me, & even put limits on myself .. then i realized, God put me through this moment, to be a testimony, & it’s all just a test.. i chose to take this situation, & use it to fuel me..not hold me down. This new year though, i feel so fortunate to stand here & be able to smile. Nothing more. The blessings are a plus...but to be simple, someone didn’t make it to see today☝🏾🙏🏾💚...I’m hoping to get my LAST & FINAL brain surgery later this month or so, to drill & remove the mass, so i can move on from the chapter completely.. no matter what moment you’re going through, you can make it .. it’s just a moment. 💚☘️🙏🏾🦖💪🏾 i love you all who’ve supported me so much throughout this year... the prayers, the messages, the calls.. just Thank You. Good morning world ! 😭😭 i called the office today to check on the status of my neurosurgeon referral, & i found out, IT GOT APPROVED & i can FINALLY move towards getting my final brain surgery, & be DONE😭🧠.... i literally been emotional for these last couple mins.. So now now just waiting on a scheduling date that works..🙏🏾 This year has undoubtedly been the hardest year I had to face in my life. I’ve taken a couple months away from social media, in order to deal with this very delicate time in my life. I’m so blessed and fortunate to say that today i met with an interventional Neurologist today, to assess my best option to deal with the arteriovenous malformation in my brain... I’m ecstatic to say, today we found a pretty promising solution to fix this thing. I ask for all of you, to just say a prayer for me & keep me in your thoughts.. This has been a very strenuous time for me, dealing with this day to day... But i know with the love, support and strength from everyone, i can continue to be strong for myself, & everyone else who’s gone through & is currently dealing with an #AVM .. stay strong everyone out there dealing with their own battles.
