“i really miss you.“ noah said softly then, leaning his arms on the desk of his quiet, empty hotel room. there was just one light on beside him, other than that it was completely dark. noah loved touring, a lot. he just missed the other badly, all the time. “i’m so jetlagged, doubt i’ll sleep tonight.“

      rosie couldn’t bring herself to look at eileen, her heart cracking every time she did. a shaky breath fell from her lips as she desperately tried to blink back the tears that lined her eyes, she did not want things to come to this. ❝ i still do, of course, i do. but… i wish i didn’t sometimes. ❞ her jealous nature made their relationship a difficult one, the tension growing between them and leading them to this very moment. ❝ i just don’t know how much longer i can do this. ❞ she murmured, wiping at the stray tears that managed to roll down her cheeks.

it’s a reflex swipe. that’s what amara tells herself as her finger slides the (entirely too attractive) face of her best friend’s sibling right. she pretends like she hadn’t read their profile-- like she doesn’t think it’s funnier than a tinder profile has any right to be. and most of all she pretends there’s more than one paper thin wall between them. it doesn’t matter which way she swipes-- anyway. they’ll never know. but then her phone is lighting up in the dark-- you have a new match. and suddenly there’s no pretending. just panic and curiosity and the knowledge of how many steps it takes to get from the bed to their door. bugger. bugger. bugger. she makes a split second decision and slips out from underneath the covers-- and creeps over to their room. her bare legs erupt in goose pimples as she steps into the cool hallway. and she tugs the hem of the borrowed shirt down. it isn’t until they open the door that she realises three things. 1. she’s still a little tipsy from the party her best friend had dragged her to. 2. this is actually their shirt-- and it could look a little creepy in the right light. and 3. she had no plan. “uh-- i-- your sister gave me your shirt i didn’t steal it or anything i’m not obsessed with you and oh--” she blushes deeply--it’s the truth and yet somehow it sounds even more insane than letting them thing she was obsessed with them. “....bugger. i should go back to her roomm. i’m going back there. nice to know you. unmatch me and you never have to look me in the eye again--”

    a smile curled onto kieran’s lips the moment she addressed him, both genuinely curious and having an idea in mind. he initially lifted his shoulders in a shrug as a response before speaking, ❝ hopefully watching casper with you. ❞ he was a bit proud of himself when it came to that line. ❝ no, but seriously… my mates invited me out to a halloween party at a neighboring fraternity but i’m not really feeling the whole party mood. ❞ he explained. it was rare for him not to feel up for a social gathering, but he was a bit too preoccupied as of late — especially when it came to thoughts of the other.

      honestly, mike never expected that he would be lucky enough to find someone who would actually stick around him. he was used to people walking in and out of his life at this point, but anya was different. ❝ well shit, i’m gonna have to step my flirtation game up. ❞ he chuckled softly as he allowed himself to walk a little closer to her. ❝ find some way to woo you and make sure none of the other people in the old folks home try and steal you away from me. i’m not afraid to run someone over with my scooter if need be. ❞
