I can’t believe that I’m having to have “dignity of risk” conversations with my social worker about my fucking tea consumption of all things. And we’re talking mostly things like peppermint or rhubarb tea with no caffeine. It’s basically nice tasting warm water.
Do you have any idea how much water you have to consume to cause clinically significant over hydration? The Cleveland clinic is telling me 3-4L over two hours for someone with healthy kidneys. I’m drinking one or two 750ml pots of tea over the whole night. She’s convinced it’s too much.
Like dignity of risk sounds like it should be about exciting things like going in the sea at the beach, or my sailing. Not… sitting at home drinking tea. It is unbelievable how patronising people get when you’re severely disabled.
