and in other news, i forget to post here, but seriously, this year is going so well.
i’m teaching four sections of honors freshman and one really small section of seniors. i’m having a blast. and all of my students are super sweet. and i feel like i am really growing as a teacher.

A student said I looked like a gothic Miss Frizzle. It had never occurred to me how perfectly this summarizes my style.
It's my second year teaching this programme at this institution and it's been so weird. When I was teaching at a high school, the students who didn't perform well were always the laziest. Here, the students who need the most improvement work the hardest. I am so proud of them.

I love all my students, but do other teachers have that one class that just improves their mood dramatically?
Is it just me or are other teachers also terrified before entering a class they've taught for ages? (But then everything turns out just fine and you're not sure why you get scared every time?)
